Anyone who has Bird above Lebron at this point is rather a lebron hater or racist.

There is no argument.

Well at this moment Bird is still higher on the all-time list, another title for Lebron will change this of course.

Great argument.
But you know that LeBron's skills aren't even comparable to Larry's.
James has a case because of his effectiveness and accolades. But those are comparable too. So overall the comparison isn't even close.

You need to be much more focus on about that .

Give me any other "analysis" of criteria you want to be brought forth.... criteria... individual play... peak... single records... milestones... skill comparisons.... ANYTHING.... what do you want?

Enough is Enough, stop disrespecting Lebron, even now after the ****ing championship run he just made in such crazy context only Bird could of dreamed of with his GOAT stacked team carrying his arse to championships (see 1981 for example with his b2b 8 point games, thats a guaranteed loss for any Lebron team especially in god damn Finals)....

It needs to be mentioned, its significant... yes, Lebron got robbed (by Gasol, was runner-up with few points, got close other times) for DPOY and Bird (never got a single vote).... that and with the all-def teams, its a small hint at him being a better defensive player... far better.... and yes, Lebron was the best player in the NBA for far longer... how long is subjectively debatable, but undisputably for much longer than Bird...

You can start with year by year their levels and hold the balance with competition . And then put all in calculations . Of course , it's not working with raw stats . You should calculate what was player margin in the game ; defence , offence , with competition . You can add clutch points with watching or reading game to the statistical result . Statistical analysis just can't measure the clutchness . 1th period or 4th quarter , 20+ margin or tie game ; it's hard to measure . But you can create rules in your mind , which is more logical to you .

Stop it man, please.... Lebron has essentially more of everything.... you compare either accolades only or stats only or just their individual overall talents/games (or anything you wish) and Lebron has him beat... Ranking Bird over Lebron at this point is just ignorant, its either the act of either being way to nostalgic/prejudiced for your own good (sacrificing your own basketball judgement in the way) or perhaps even letting your inner secret racist make the call (who knows!!?) or both...

I mean what the **** more do you want from Lebron? 10 more championships + 10 more mvps? Averaging 50-10-10-10-10? OK, coming right up!

I don't know if this is first and foremost a top 10 SF list or a disguised LeBron vs Bird list. I'll ignore the 2nd part of this assumption, since the whole board deals with this very matter these days (plus, I'm still not sure who to put at #1 - LeBron has the edge at durability and defense, Bird has the edge at shooting ability and the clutch factor. Probably leaning towards LeBron) and add I'd put Baylor over Havlicek and Barry at 6.

I think Elgin was a power forward . His offensive and defensive playing style make him looks like PF . Also , i do remember he guarded Tom Sanders and guarded by Sanders too in a tape( probably game 6 of 62 ) . And he's known as "Mr.Inside" , which is fit for PF .

To me Lebron needs another ring to surpass Bird and two more rings to surpass Magic. The NBA Finals winning% is still a letdown until it goes back to at least 50%. Stats-wise Lebron is better, but only marginally better.

That's where we'll disagree. A championship in Cleveland will be his crowning achievement no matter how many more titles he might win. He broke the curse. He did what he set out to do when he came back. Him and Irving led the team back down 3-1 having to win 2 games in Oakland against the best regular season team...ever.

If he showed up small in the Finals and the won I could see the argument, but he absolutely showed up and was reason 1a why they came back with Irving be 1b of why they stayed close in games to make them winnable.
