It seems like the threads are all about the greatness of Lebron.
Well, yes, he was THE BEST all around player in the finals.
My question is could he have done it without Kyrie? replace him with Tony Parker or CP3 (we all know how great this guy is in the playoffs).
Kyrie averaged 19 pts, 3rebs/ 4.7 assists/game in the regulars.
in the Finals, he upped it to 27 pts, 40% from 3pt, 94% from FT line.
31 pts the last 5 games, 41 pts in game 5 where they badly needed every point.
How many robins in the finals can you think of, who had better numbers?:confusedshrug:

There was no Robin. It was Batman and Superman.

Should've gotten FMVP, with that dagger 3 to bail Lebron

Yep, I agree.

Too bad Lebron decided to lead all players from own team, opposing team, your mother, your father, your whole generation in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks

Yup, he also did the same leading his old teams,
First time he got swept by the Spurs,
the lost to Dallas, who was Dirk's robin again?
Lost to the Spurs, who was Kawhi's robin?
Wasn't Lebron the leader last year, where did his "leading" fare vs the Warriors?
look the bottom line is, Lebron NEEDED Kyrie to go crazy and play his ultimate best games to win.

Stats mean very little when watching what happens in key critical moments of a game and the impact they have.

Without Kyrie, it would have been a quicker Finals than last year's.

No Robin. It was 1a and 1b. If LeBron didn't have a historical Finals leading everyone on BOTH teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks Irving would've won it. LeBron had the stats and the big performances the last 3 games. Irving had the consistency and he hit the big shots when the Cavs needed them most. Especially in Game 7. Of course you have the three, but there was multiple times where it looked like Golden State was about ready to pull away going up 5 or 6 and Irving would go down and attack and make some ridiculous shots off the glass and-1s. One could even argue Irving should've been co-MVP.

Kyrie has the highest GmSc (19.1) for the Finals as a 1b option since Kobe back in 2002 (20.3)

You can look at the Lakers in the 80s and how well the performances Kareem & Magic had on some of their finals. Kareem won FMVP with 26, 9, and 5 a game on 60% FG, Magic averaged 18, 7, and 14 a game. Magic of course had that epic game 6 in 1980 as a rookie with 42, 15, and 7 without Kareem. He averaged 22, 12, and 9 a game. Kareem averaged 33, 14, and 4.6 blocks per game in the 5 games he played.

Or 1988 when Worthy won FVMP by putting up 36, 16, and 10 in game 7, one of the greatest game 7 performances ever. Both him and Magic played great. Magic had the flu for a couple of games, and game 3 is just a virtuoso displaying of passing and running an offense.

McHale put up better scoring numbers in the 86' Finals than MVP and FMVP Bird. 26 PPG on 57% FG against a frontcourt that featured Akeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson. Bird put up 24, 10, and 10 a game.

Of course Pippen is up there for his performance alongside Jordan. Pippen's steals and blocks only show so much of how much of a defensive impact he had, and he played great all around. 21, 9, and 7 in the 91' Finals. Game 2 is when he played the most D on Magic, it was also Magic's worst performance in the 5 games. 21, 8, and 8 in the 92' Finals, and it was with Pippen and 4 subs when the Bulls went on a 14-2 run in game 6 to cut a 15 point 4th quarter deficit to 3.
