they haven't won because they don't have Lebron.

Durant should've been that guy. It's interesting, because before the playoffs I said that OKC the right combo to go seven games with GSW. They have westbrook's all around play to keep them in games and Durant's shooting and scoring abilities to close. But the problem was that Westbrook's erratic style is what makes him effective, but it also leads him to very poor decisions in late game situations and he can't shoot.

The other problem was that Durant's jumper completely abandoned him. It was totally inexplicable, he shot 29% from three during the playoffs, and probably well below his standard for midrange as well.

The other pairs I figured could do it were CP3 and Blake Griffin and LeBron and Kyrie. CP3 and Griffin got injured.

I gave LeBron and Kyrie the best chance for a few reasons. One, LeBron is basically a better decision making Westbrook and because he's 6'8," he'll inevitably finish better at the rim. Then there's Kyrie, who I've said plenty of times is the best one-on-one player in the league. His handle and quickness and body control enable him to slither into crevices Durant can't, and he is elite from 3, the midrange and at the rim and at the freethrow line. And he has a low turnover rate. I figured LeBron could keep any game close, and kyrie could finish it off. Low and behold ...

Durant and Westbrook will have another chance though.

OKC played really well in the conference finals.

In games 6 & 7, Klay was just hitting one miracle 3 after another, nothing we could do to stop it.

How bad was it seeing Klay brick so many open 3s against the Cavs meanwhile against OKC he was hitting circus 3s? :rant

I think OKC wore them out (even though Warriors went up 3-1 :lol ) but they started the exposure. The splash brothers looked bad so much of the finals.

Why can't it just be that the West is harder?

They did just take GSW to 7 games.

No they don't. Kyrie was the best shooter of the top ten scorers in the playoffs. He had the second highest field goal percentage behind lebron at 47.5 and had the highest three point percentage at 44 percent. Kyrie is also much clutch than Westbrook and Durant. The cavs won the championship because they had the two best players.
