unanimous MVP got exposed in the playoffs. He can't handle the pressure. He can't handle a real team led by the best player in the world.

Remember when earlier in the season people thought he already surpassed Lebron on the all time list? LMAO

As overrated as your sense of loyalty.

To me it looked like Curry was all out of gas during game 6. Not overrated, just not the perfect player (nobody is, not even Lebron).

Many people felt he simply wasn't healthy after spraining his right MCL in the first round of the playoffs. Though he returned in the second round and played well sporadically, he notably lost his trademark shiftiness with the ball. Curry struggled with side-to-side movement after the injury, particularly on the perimeter, where he couldn't lose and punish opponents.

This seemed most evident on the biggest possession of the Finals. After Kyrie Irving hit what proved to be the winning 3-pointer, Curry came down the other way and got Kevin Love on a mismatch. Love, a slow-footed big man, normally wouldn't have a chance at staying with Curry. And though Love did an excellent job trying to stay attached to Steph on the perimeter, the Stephen Curry from the regular season most likely could have shaken Love quickly.

Curry simply couldn't get the separation he needed. The miss was essentially the dagger for the Warriors.

The Cavs won the championship with an incredible comeback, but it's also fair to question whether they got Curry's best shot in the series.

Hes not a top 5 player in NBA, hes way too overrated and he will decline starting by next season and soon to be washed up.

Who are the players better than him?

Not regular season or anything, but was he even comfortably top 5 in these finals?

Lebron
Kyrie
Draymond
Klay
JR Smith/Tristan Thompson/Curry/Bogut

He's not overrated at all. Sure, he had an underwhelming G7, but averaged 31-6-5 three games before that lol.
I cringed every time the commentators said that Kyrie was outplaying him, just completely ludicrous. You give Curry the same 1x1 defense with barely any help on drives, Curry's giving you 40 every single fckin night.
Sure, he player like shit in G7, especially the second half, but recognize real talent when you see it.
Bron's obviously the best right now because of his playoff performance, but Curry's a close second.

ESPN ranked him 23rd best player of all time.

Who are the players better than him?

Here's a list of players ahead of him right now(in no order):

Lebron James
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Durant
Chris Paul
Anthony Davis
Kawhi Leonard
James Harden
Kyle Irving
Klay Thompson

And this is a list of players about as good as him(also in no order):

Lamarcus Aldridge
John Wall
Draymond Green
Carmelo Anthony
Damian Lillard
Karl Anthony Towns

So yeah, Curry is at best the No.10 player in NBA right now, and maybe not even that considering there are another 6 players on par with him. Hes not even the best player in his own team, Thompson is clearly better and Green is at least as good as him. Now that Curry prime is over, hes going down quickly and I am seeing a Gilbert Arenas/Michael Redd's level of rapid decline.

Next year he will fall out of top 10 or even top 15, and the Warriors may need to trade him while he still has value. What do you think?

he's not even the best shooter on his team :facepalm we see enough proof of this in games, and furthermore 3 point contest winner backs it up.

I didn't say he can't, but he's not the best shooter in the world like you claimed.

ive said forever that curry is over rated. he goes through so many stretches where hes USELESS. he can go on a spree of 30 point game because he can shoot 3s incredibly well, but he can do NOTHING else. i wouldn't even put him on iversons level let loan a GOAT candidate.

lol at the bolded. Nice way of completely avoiding the fact that it took him until game 4 to even crack 20 points. :oldlol:

Curry is without a doubt overrated. The guy was voted UNANIMOUS MVP and may not have even been a top 5 player in terms of impact during the finals. How could he possibly not be overrated? The fact that you think Steph is even close to Lebron proves how overrated he still is amongst some people.

He got schooled by Kyrie 1 v 1 to clinch the series and then when he got his shot to tie it up, he got shut down 1 on 1 versus Kevin freaking Love. :lol That whole '1 v 1' excuse is bogus.

Kobe won two titles in a row with one knee, a sprained elbow and three broken fingers in his shooting hand.

What's Curry's excuse?:confusedshrug:

DCL

I didn't say he can't, but he's not the best shooter in the world like you claimed.

you're still wrong.

an entire season trumps one short 3 point contest.

for the season, curry made over 400 3's at 45% while being the focal point. thompson made 275 at 42.5%.

for corner 3's, curry made 71.9% of them. from way downtown: curry made 51.6 percent of shots between 28 feet and the half-court line (47 feet) in 2015-16. the rest of the NBA hit 20.8 percent. curry made more deep 3s than 10 NBA teams combined. nobody else is even close.

NOW as for his game -- the criticisms are legit: he can't handle physical defenses, he can't consistently perform under extreme pressure, he can't play defense against quick guards to save his life, he can't always figure out how to perform with the team, he can't show enough versatility of an mvp

but playing poorly doesn't suddenly eliminate your natural skills as a shooter.

take another example - jimmy fredette.. he is a terrific shooter. but if you watched him play in the nba, you would had thought he couldn't shoot at all. that's stupid. the dude could shoot the lights out. but he's just a bad player.

curry may had been overrated AS A PLAYER but he's not overrated as a shooter in terms of pure skill. being a shooter and being a player are not the same exact things.

I think you are just hating. To suggest that Harden is better than Curry does not even warrant a response.

i swear curry has OCD. he either has to shoot a 3 pointer or make a pathetic attempt to try prove he can take it to the rim like westbrook.

He didn't score in first games because it wasn't really needed for the team.
