"I'm very thankful that I have a guy like that that's leading our team that I can continue to learn from. And when my time does come of being able to lead a franchise and see the landscape of how it's supposed to be composed, I watched Beethoven tonight right now of LeBron James compose a game," Irving said of James. "He had a freakin' triple-double in Game 7 of an NBA Finals game."
"There will still be naysayers, but I know it doesn't matter to him. It doesn't matter to me. All that matters is we're champions and our whole team is etched in history," Irving added.

Everyone needs to stop hating and just accept all-time excellence for what it is.

Kyrie is just being humble, like always. Bron had a series for the ages but Kyrie had a legendary series himself and Bron needed most of Kyrie's points to win just as Kyrie needed Bron's impact. They both stepped up big time.

Kyrie from one Ive seen is one of the nicest guys in the league.
He's also a killer and "selfish" player. How many more are like him?

What Irving said was nice, but it doesn't change the fact that LeBron needed him. They both played their a$$es off.

LeBron was the best players in the Finals but Kyrie wasn't that far behind either.

LeBron's the first player EVER to lead BOTH teams in EVERY stat for an ENTIRE playoff series! AND DID IT IN THE FINALS. Downplay THAT!

He always seemed to make baskets when GSW seemed to get a little momentum. He did that time and time again. That type of stuff demoralizes an opponent.

Yeah LeBron was obviously the king of the series and deserved FMVP. Gotta give Kyrie credit though too. He was better than any of Curry or Kobe's finals performances

Do you never get tired of agenda posting?
Seriously the insecurity of Jordan stans doesn't even make since.

I was a fan of Kyrie when he came into the league due to him being born in Australia and all, but I really started to dislike his game watching him.
Extremely selfish and had tunnel vision.
He really fixed that, and even more so, worked hard on defense to the point he was a good defensive player. Dude knew when to go for his, and when to swing the ball, pass off, defer or simply play decoy.
Massive fan. One of the most skilled players I've ever seen, and undoubtably the best finisher with both hands around the ring I've seen. No one is close.

I am so proud of Kyrie. Averaging 27 ppg is itself FMVP worthy had Lebron not had a legendary series.
I did not believe Kyrie would scored this much this efficiently. Lebron was extremely lucky to have Kyrie stepped up and share the scoring load.
