I ****ing HATE bing and **** bing for trying to always switch itself to my main search engine. I love me some google. Call me sentimental, it's more pleasing to the eye and I like the layout better....and I don't like change. :roll:

Lol this how I feel about yahoo.

Bing is cool though cause the rewards thing. It actually makes you kinda feel like you're working while searching.

Legit question, how are rib fractures diagnosed? Will there be brusing in the area or will doctors check for symptoms(trouble breathing)?

Clinically, you can actually feel a loose or floating rib moving on moderate to deep inspiration on even superificial palpation, often very easily; test for costochondritis if its severe enough--essentially you squeeze the ribcage laterally to medially and see if the patient is tender.

On imaging take a plain xray film but it's notoriously difficult and often inaccurate especially in the early stages. I wouldn't even bother with a CXR unless it's been 3-5/7 after the inciting event.

You usually don't need to treat a rib fracture unless it's causing severe pain or loose enough that its a threat to vasculature. Basic management is rest and analgesia.
