View Full Version : Why Do People Put the Finals Loss On Green?

I see a lot of people saying that is the main reason they lost. Didn't GS have a 3-1 lead, with two of the three games being playing on their homecourt? The brunt of the loss is on Golden State's Charmin soft backcourt, and Steve Kerr deciding to pick up smoking crack sometime after game 2. You can throw injuries all you want at me. But they don't mean s.hit since GS got gift wrapped a title last year playing LeBron and Delly. GS had absolutely no excuse for losing that series at all. And yet you still read on here a bunch how losing Green was a death sentence. :oldlol:

It was a culmination of several things, not just Green. Green was dumb and got himself suspended which correlates to an injured Bogut. Curry and Klay getting sloppy at the home stretch of game 7...trying fancy behind the back passes that resulted in turn overs ( many times this series), Curry and Klay rushing shots which resulted in hard bricks off the backboard, Iggy trying to lay the ball in instead of dunking it hard on that Lebron block. Just an all around arrogance from the Warriors big three. Like they had it in the bag and forgot they still have to perform. The Warriors are the better team, they shit the bed. Now they have to live with the consequences of gifting a ring and fmvp to Bron he didn't deserve.

Green's suspension didn't change anything.
Cavs had that game with or without Green.
Kyrie and Lebron were too hot. With or without Green, you are not beating Cavs when Kyrie and Lebron both score 40.

Oh hey you're back
I think people are putting the loss on
1. Andrew Bogut injury (3-1 with him healthy)
2. Draymond Green suspension
3. Steph Curry and Iggy injuries
4. Kyrie, LeBron and the Cavs goin' off and playing well
5. Harrison Barnes 2/46 FG shooting

It's not the Cavs or the refs' fault that Green got suspended. It's Green's fault.

It's part of golden States arrogance. When you face defeat you can either make excuses why you lost or you can man up and say the other person was just better. I can understand if green missed multiple games but the guy missed one game and the next game he came back the cavs won by almost the same amount. No. The green suspension excuse is weak at best, but like I said people either look for any excuse why they couldn't do something or they own up. Golden state, its fans, front office, team...the entire stench of the franchise is entitled and think they're better than others. When they lose its because the game was rigged, a player that only plays 12 mins and whom they won a title last year after benching was injured, or because one guy missed one game in a 7 game series. The excuses are illogical

GS figured it did not need to go after offensive rebounds once Curry and Klay started chucking, and assumed they would automatically make those shots.

He was definitely responsible for Cavs gaining momentum, but he did step it up and redeem himself in game 7, the loss is on Curry overall.

Cavs gained momentum in game 3.
