JR Smith is probably looking for ~10+M per year extension. They might just let him go. Pretty sure Cavs regret signing Shumpbert for 10M/year. JR is far more deserving of that salary slot than Trashbert. Shump is an even dumber decision maker than JR, sucks at shooting, and is only a marginally above average defender.

Jeremy Lin would be an awesome bargain contract. He only made 2.1M with the Bobcats this past season. Could likely lure him away for a 3-5 year deal for 6-8 million/year. Brings a lot more to the table with Cleveland's 2nd unit.

Optimal solutions for Cavs:

Package deal with K-Love and Shumpbert in a multiple team deal for expiring or rookie contracts and draft picks from shitty lottery teams. Maybe go after Noel or Okafor from the 76ers.

Sign Lin and Ryan Anderson. Lin is a good combo PG/SG and huge upgrade over Delly/Shump. Anderson would be far more comfortable in K-Love's current role and likely a much better fit.

Also Durant would look like a nice fit. Duncan as well.
