One big difference between me and 95% of you all on this message board is when I talk about a player I ANALYZE HIS SKILL-SET and not 100% career accolades.

Like many other players in NBA history Scottie Pippen is very overrated, he played good defense, he was an average shooter and not really quick. He played on good teams and was a good contributor, skillwise he was no better then Rudy Gay at their heights, and I actually think Rudy was a better shooter/scorer but not as good on defense.

:biggums: And this is why people take Skip Bayless seriously, some people actually agree with him.

So a top 5-10 player in the 90s translates to a average player in today's era?

I knew MJ played in a weak era but goodness:oldlol:

Many players and careers have come and gone since Scottie retired...and he's still constantly put in the top 30 players of all time. He's an all time great...get over it.

Indeed. The guy has Jordan as GOAT for instance when it's clear as day who the real GOAT is.

OP is retarded AF. Is it you, AW, by any chance?

Pip is top 25. Rudy Gay probably wouldn't crack top 250.

Basketball goes beyond just pure skillset.

Pippen's impact went so much further than Rudy Gay's ever could.

You can also bring up how terrible he was when he played for the Houston Rockets. The NBA loves rewriting that moment out of NBA history lmao.

If the MJ-Pip combo was more of a 1A-1B combo ( like West-Baylor, Durant-Westbrook, Bron-Wade, Doc-Moses, etc.), he would have went down as the GOAT SF! I'm not saying that to knock Pip, but I'm just stating he was a very good scorer as it was. But if he was an alpha dog and a true 1B guy, he would have been on an even HIGHER PLATEAU than he is now. Likely in the top 10 GOAT.

To compare Rudy Gay to Pippen is an insult to Pip. Pip changed the game of basketball! Many of the things Bron does today is from the Pip blueprint. Bron just added dominant scoring and a Karl Malone type physique to it.

Most of you NO NOTHING ABOUT BASKETBALL or about life in general. Some people are in the perfect situation other guys aren't. Pippen skillwise wasn't a top 5-10 player in the 90s, but based off of his situation, it may have appeared like that.

Drexler was a better indiviual player.

Your not in your prime (most people anyway) in their 1st 2nd year in the NBA.
