Saw someone comment on this pick with this gem:

"Great pick. I've watched this kid play the last 5 years. Has the intangibles and skill set to be a HOFer. His game reminds me of a young Shaq with a mix of Dirks shooting touch. He'll be dominating for years to come."

Can anyone confirm whether or not Ivica will be Shaq with Dirk's shooting touch?

He's a legit 7 footer who is only 19, runs the floor, and boxes out/rebounds well. Plus, he will most likely come to the NBA right away so that's a plus. I'm not particularly mad at this pick.

What the fk

oh the horror

That seems to be an overblown comparison but the Lakers have generally done well with later round picks.

You know who else is a combo of Shaq plus Dirk? Kelly olynyk lol.

Guy appears to have the physical tools to play in the league. I feel like you can't go wrong with drafting big men.

Shaq with Dirk's shooting touch? Then still slipped to the 2nd round?

Lakerland will love this kid. He's a life-long laker fan. so much, in fact, he told mike trudell that he cried during Kobe's 60 pt game.

the draftexpress guys are really stoked the lakers picked him. looked at as first round talent, but fell to the 2nd because he wanted to come over this summer and most teams wanted him to stay abroad a year so they can save money.

His game reminds me of a mix between Neo from the Matrix and Brolly from DBZ

LOL... if he is being compared to Shaq in any shape or form he would not be a 2nd round draft pick... Shaq with Dirks shooting would be the ultimate GOAT.

I don't see the Shaq or Dirk. He has no mid-range like Dirk. Everything is a post move or soft dunk. So just like Tim Duncan. He's a little slow and plays smaller than his size but is good fundamentally. He's going to have to put on some muscle, 60lbs worth, to be able to play in this league
