View Full Version : The Bulls roster for next season is already looking decent

I'm already liking the way the Bulls roster is shaping up for next season. Still a couple more moves to make but I think they could be back in the playoffs next season already. Assuming they get rid of Taj Gibson, Gasol, Noah and Dunleavy the roster will look like this

C: Lopez/Felicio
PF: Mirotic/Portis
SF: Doug McDermott/Tony Snell
SG: Butler/Valentine
PG: Rubio/Calderon/Jerian Grant

The Bulls could still make some trades involving Taj, Dunleavy, Gasol or Noah and go after a point guard

Edit just heard the Bulls are going after Rubio

This. 38 wins. Irrelevant.

They still need to go after a starting point guard because I don't think Jerian Grant will be ready to start yet. But how does that look shitty? They have players who can score, pass, defend. I think they're a couple moves away from making it to the playoffs next season

No way. If they can get a decent starting point guard and another back up center I can see them winning about 45+ games and making it to the playoffs

Harry Giles for the Bulls in 2017

Mirotic might do some damage but that roster isn't anything special.

This is not a good team at all. Rubio is the worse offensive point guard in the league. He has great court vision, but he's more of a liability on offense than f*cking Iman Shumpert. He has shot below 38% from the field every single single since he came into the league. Hell, he's even shot around 35% from the field. He can barely hit the three at a 30% clip and there's seasons where it's below that.

I remember when he was drafted people were saying he would be better than Irving.

You dont trade for or play Rubio to score. He is way better than Rose at this point

That roster is trash:confusedshrug:

And btw, the rumored deal was Rubio + 5th pick for Butler, they countered with 5th pick + lavine and we said no. That is it, the deal is dead.

****Breaking news here on ISH - Rubio goes to Bulls for unknown return****

But really, that roster isn't actually that bad, even tho ppl are shitting on it. Especially under The Mayor's offense. ...if it ever comes to full fruition.

To all the people criticizing this roster I never said that this roster would be contending for a championship. They have a lot of work to do before they're contending. But I can easily see this team if they make a couple of decent trades and signings this summer being a playoff team especially with how terrible the east is

They're going to trade Butler.

Bulls are going to get rid of Hibs core entirely, meaning Gibson, Noah, Butler.

The Bulls did not get max production from Gasol at all and that was mainly because the old core did not want to give up the touches to him on offense, including Butler who was extremely selfish and deliberately did not pass the ball to Gasol, this was obvious from the get go.

Butler is gone and the Bulls are going to do a complete overhaul.
