Most skilled player I can remember seeing

Through his first five years in the league, he is maybe the single most entertaining basketball player I've ever seen. He has an aesthetically perfect scoring game and he seems to have an endless arsenal at his disposal.

Give him room and he'll kill you from three. Take away the three, he'll get to the cup with a wicked first step, acceleration and ability to finish equally incredibly with either hand. Go over screens and drop a man back in the paint, he was the best midrange shooter in the league and he has no hesitation in pulling up from 12-18 feet. Deny him the ball with a small, quick defensive guard? He can take his defender down to the block and beat them from the post.

Kyrie is one of those rare players where the defense can do everything right, exactly the way it was drawn up, and it doesn't matter. He'll find a way to beat you on the spot.

If the NBA Finals and the playoffs as a whole showed us one thing, I think it was that. TBH, I thought he was the second best player in the entire playoffs, either conference... behind only LeBron James. It was that impressive.

I hope his performance finally put idiotic Irving trade ideas from some Cavs fans to bed.
I always believed in him. He is the reason life as Cavs fan was somewhat bearable from 2011 on. And now he stepped up BIG TIME in the finals. Kyrie will always be my favorite player.

I'd be shocked if he ever plays in another uniform. I told people all year, you need to realize this is a marathon not a sprint. Because of the slow start the year before and LeBron not being himself for the first couple months of the 2014-15 season, the Cavs really had to push it to get the 2nd seed in the playoffs.

This past year, there was no need to show your hand in January or February. The goal was always just to make sure you're peaking at the right time, and I think in retrospect they did that beautifully... and maybe in future seasons people won't be as ... dumb.

You don't even consider trading a 23-year-old player who is capable of doing what he did in the playoffs. It was just stupidity and short-sightedness.

I'm hoping and expecting a championship -- especially with the way he played when it mattered most -- will buy him some cache with everyone.
