simple question. Is he or naw? I see that he has the handles and drive to the rim that dirk doesnt. who does what better then who and what dont they do what not better than they dont.

As much as basketball is moving towards flimsier and longer body types (ie Durant), I think Kris is a bit too much. I think his body actually hurts his superstar potential. He's too narrow to play inside and he's too tall to play outside. I don't know what direction the training staff is going to try to develop him into.

because he was over 32 in 2010? he won the chip with 33? of course he lost lots of his quickness and handless growing older. it begun slowly in the 2008 season. thats why he focused more and more on his fade away. he adjusted his game to his physical possibilities. 30 was the turning point. no shame for that, especially for a 7footer

you probably dont understand the meaning of handles. kristaps definitely does have better handles than dirk has ever had.

again: no. never. ever.

i agree with you, althoug dirks played good defense from 2001-2006 and especially elevated his defense in every playoffs.

According to Dirk, "He's probably way ahead of the curve compared to when I was 20".

"He's way better than I was at 20"

And yes, his defense is already better than Dirk ever was.

I won't jinx it but he has the potential to be a similar type player than Dirk on offense (maybe not as automatic on the open jumpers) and already better on defense. He can protect the rim because of his length, sure he can still get pushed around but Dirk got pushed around A LOT in his prime as well by the better power forwards in his time.

KP can obviously block shots and has tremendous potential on that side. Dirk isn't as bad as people make him out to be I don't think. I wonder if one of the stat nerds is around to dig up some of his advanced defensive stats.

He's better than Dirk at same age, that's for sure.
Now it's up to hard work and injuries.
