seems like this dude never runs out of energy and is playing at the highest level and been the best player for past 12 or so years. theres been talks about "ledecline" for the past few years but he just comes out and has the greatest finals performance in NBA history and shut all the haters up.

unbelievable what's he doing, I don't see him stopping any time soon either, few more mvps and finals MVP, the goat.

Nope. One of the greatest athletes in the history of sports...all sports.

He's still an awesome basketball player but I wouldn't say he is at his peak anymore. So yeah he has declined. He didn't win this finals by himself. Let's not forget Kyrie Irving's performance..

He is declining. Having said that a declining Lebron is still better than the majority of the league

not for a while. He can coast through the regular season, then get some south beach vitamins for the playoffs :applause: :applause:

He has declined slightly athletically. But his endurance and strength hasn't (strength has probably increased). His size is not gonna decline, unless he chooses to reduce it. He's been blessed with no major injury troubles. All part of the recipe for a long prime. Unless his athleticism declines dramatically, I can't see his game decline significantly for another 3-4 years probably.

Majority of the league? LeBron is still the real MVP of the league:oldlol:

If he is willing to adapt his game to his body (and all signs point to yes) then he can retain a similar level of impact for some time yet. A lot of players don't peak until this age or even a year or two later.

As long as his stiff arm is strong enough to push defenders aside he will not decline.

His decline is coming, but he's been able to delay it with his great work ethic in the off-seasons. It was smart of him to skip the Olympics. He's been in 3 of them, he's got two gold. Right now he should be going for a 4th or possibly even 5th ring.

Nah dont think he will for at least three years.
He'll be good for 25 points for around3-4 seasons then decline to like 20pt per season imho.

He has declined slightly athletically but he gained experience and got even smarter as a player, knowing what is needed to win usually is more valuable than being slightly more athletic. Time and time again it has been proven that being at your athletic peak doesn't mean it is your best chance to win. A mix of experience and still being physically at a high level gives you the best chance to lead a team to a championship.

Hes already declining since 2014, just hes able to maintain himself at a relatively high level even after he started to lose athleticism. Curry is declining too since that peak game against OKC Thunder, and his declining seems to be more of a free-falling.

I think he should shed about 20 pounds, Wade dropped some weight the past year and he was the quickest he's been since his prime.

NOPE LEBRON WILL BE THE FIRST "LIFER" IN THE NBA...STILL PLAYING WELL INTO HIS 90S AND DOING THE SAME THINGS. :facepalm

Of course he will decline...he has already declined in the speed category

LOL.

LBJ doesn't have enough fat on his body to lose 20 pounds.

The most hilarious part of this thread is that the following season after this thread was made he bad a better year then before:oldlol:

15-16 LeBron (beat Warriors that year): 25.3 ppg on 52/30.9/73.1, 7.4 rpg, 6.8 apg

LeBron combined from 16-17 to now: 26.8 ppg on 52.7%/35.5%/69.3%, 8.4 rpg, 9.2 apg

LeBron isn't even at his peak yet:lebronamazed:

That's what having a major injury does to you

LeBron James is not likely to decline after the huge break COVID-19 given. LeBron James will gracefully decline well after his 40s which is insane! Given the era and technological advancements, LeBron will be fine barring any major/serious injury to him.

LeBron is on pace to break Kareem scoring title in the next 5 years and if he never breaks it no-one will ever will in our lifetimes which is kinda sad tbh.

Do you watch ball or are you a box score watcher?

Last year with the shittiest team ever he had a 20-14 4th seed before his injury.

Fast forward this year and that same YUNG CORE shit team is an 8th seed after supposedly "getting better" as they develop.

Our lifetime? Not ever, period. His 6911 playoff points (AND COUNTING) is untouchable. The NEXT CLOSEST guy is 1,000 away...one thousand...

Hes been in decline. Hes way slower than prime lebron. His numbers havnt changed much because the league has got easier as hes got older. That said hes still ridiculously athletic for his age. His longevity will be his best argument for why hes the goat when its all said and done

He has been declining since 2013. It is just hard to notice because it is 1) from an extremely high peak 2) such a gradual decline.

If he gets more time just sitting in the bench, then it is an obvious sign.

His athlestism has declined massively, he can barely blow by bigmen anymore

But he makes up for it with his ever increasing basketball IQ and skill that's why he's still the consensus best in the world at age 35
