.
Lebron's confidence is derived from the knowledge that he's the best - his bow legs walk around with the relaxed swagger - head high, chest out, cool as a fan.

All because he knows:.. I'M...... THE...... BEST

That's what he falls back on and that's the source of his confidence.. But what if he couldn't fall back on it and what if that knowledge was shaken somehow?

For example, what if Jordan was in today's league?

Would it be like 2011 all over again, where Dirk's miraculous and persistent dominance gradually gave Lebron the inkling that he wasn't going to be able to keep up?.. Eventually, Lebron just gave up and shut down completely - he didn't want the challenge once there was someone else out there that could fucc with him.

Otoh, MJ retires if there are no challenges - he's a fiend for challenges and he seeks and relishes challenges - that's the very reason he plays the game.. And he never gave up - whereas Lebron jumped ship when it got too hard... This all plays into MJ's superior MENTALITY - he was far superior MENTALLY and couldn't be broken like Lebron can...

So that's something to keep in mind - Lebron... WITHOUT the swagger - we've seen it before in 2010 and 2011.

Wut.

Well, I can say the same, but worse. MJ's confidence was derived because he knew he had the better team. He could think to himself "We will win this game, these guys are an ECF team even without me". That's what he fell back on.

If MJ had Irving and Tristan Thompon (and last year Delladova and Thompson) as his second and third best player, instead of Pippen and Grant/Rodman, he would have pissed his pants.

Dirk had Bron feel some type of way he didnt know since '07.. the clutchness completely mindfcked him

but Bron learned from him, the best when it comes to clutch, and became a god himself.

Jordan carried the biggest scoring load ever (by far (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=406920)) and still led his team in passing (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11713121&postcount=49).

So Jordan carried the heavier load, especially in the playoffs, where he averaged nearly 6 more points on better efficiency and only 1 less assist (despite playing off-ball more often to foster better chemistry and have a better team, 6/6)

To demonstrate the goat load Jordan carried, just look at 1989 - the 47-win Bulls would've missed the 45-win playoff cut without Jordan's 33/8/8.. So without Jordan, that roster was a LOTTERY roster and headed nowhere going into the 1990 season - but WITH Jordan, they were ECF veterans and about to begin a 6-peat dynasty.. Essentially, Jordan led that same lottery roster from 1989 to a 3-peat beginning in 1991 - that's the goat impact on a lottery team.

The only reason Lebron hasn't broken down since those 2 times in 2010 and 2011 is because no one has stepped up and dominated like Dirk, and nothing else has happened to get in his head (delonte).. But if those things happen, he would cower again.

If Jordan were in the league, it would be 2011 every year - 2011 proved that Lebron doesn't want the challenge once there was someone else out there that could fucc with him.

Why do you continue to do this 3ball? Every single post you make is about your Jordan>Lebron agenda. Do you realize your only arguing with like 3 Lebron stans who are probably mentally ill teenagers? Jordan>Lebron. We get it. Not every single person is going to agree with you. Get a hobby.

Curry won 2 straight MVPs and was defending champ, up 3-1 vs Lebron Cavs. Where'd Lebron get that swagger from?

MJ's confidence was derived because

Players who were scoring champs AND 1st team all-defense:

Michael Jordan:. 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998
Kobe Bryant:..... 2006, 2007
Kareem Jabbar:. 1971

Players who were scoring champs AND won championship:

Michael Jordan:... 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998
Shaquille O'Neal:. 2000
Kareem Jabbar:... 1971

Players who led their team in scoring for every playoff series of their career:

Michael Jordan*

* led team in scoring by an average margin of 15.4 ppg (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=406920)

Players with goat scoring load AND led their team in passing:

Michael Jordan*

* led Bulls in assists for 3 of 6 championship runs, and led Bulls in assist percentage for both 3-peats (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11713121&postcount=49), so he assisted on the highest proportion of Bulls field goals during the entire 6-peat

Jordan would have intimate the hell out of Curry. Jordans menacing nature would make Curry cry on the court.
