This tournament has been a brilliant international showcase for the strength of American football. We Americans truly do play the greatest football on the planet!

May the game tonight be a magnifico partido de f

Mexican football fans enjoy taking pride in the victories of their on-field oppressors

It is a part of Mexican football culture that I will never understand, but it is their way, so I do my best to accept it.

Ref going in to business for himself. **** this. Horrible decision, and destroys the final.

Yeah, Messi created that foul, no way in hell was it a yellow card

Messi kissing the ref's ass too:lol

Got to hand it to him though, this is the kind of thing you need to do to win trophies.

Ref is trying to make this match about him. To redeem himself, he needs to give an Argie a red card also. This was a great match before the ref killed it.

So you're rooting for the team that clowned the US :confusedshrug:

Chile was better than us, I got over it, no hard feelings towards my Chilean hermanos

I am not rooting for either team, but losing 4-0 to the #1 team in the world is not the worst thing in the world. I believe if we had our full first 11 we would have put up a better effort.

I am not Messi's biggest fan. At the same time, I am happy to give him props when he does the right thing, just like I gave to Lebron when he won his title this year, even though I hate the guy.

I just wanted an exciting match. 11v11 would have been much better than 60 minutes of 11 vs 10

Your racism showing through :facepalm

That's a slur word, I find it disgusting that you would use such a insulting term

Thank you for sharing your feelings bro! In this case I meant it as a term of endearment, similar to when Mexicans refer to each other as "cabron" and "puto" sometimes, even when they are bros.

First off I would like to educate you in the fact that Argentinians are not in fact a race but actually a nationality. Argentina is a nation inhabited my people of several different races and cultures mixed together, much like the United States, or Estados Unidos de America as some call it. It is impossible to be racist towards a nationality. The term you are looking for is xenophobic.

I personally have no problem with the Argentinian people and do not use the term "Argie" as a term of disrespect.

If it triggers you, I am happy to refrain from using the term "Argie" in the future.

Please do, my wife and kids have Argentine ancestry so it very much hits close to home.

I know that limeys in the UK use the term Argie as an insult term towards Argentines. I find it hard to believe that you wouldn't know that.

Thank you for understanding, hermano

Messi needs to takeover. His international legacy depends on this game.

I thought this game was gonna be a lot better. Aguero has been terrible, at least by his standards.

I thought 10 v 10 would create more space and opportunities, but it's really just made the game slower.

They are all exhausted. Jersey in the summer time with all these people in the stadium, it must be very humid.

Chile should be ranked ahead of Argentina in FIFA rankings, they've beaten them in two straight finals now.

Messi missed three chances in a row. In 2014 Germany was the better team, in 2015 Chile was the home team, but this time theres no excuse.

Messi needs more help, I guess. Had he chosen Spain national team over Argentina, he'd be in the talk of greatest player of alltime. Now hes definitely nowhere near the level of Maradona.
