ter selecting Dejounte Murray with the 29th pick of the draft, PATFO continue what may be a busy summer with the signing of Ryan Arcidiacono, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound point guard out of Villanova, as reported by Darren Wolfson.

Do you remember that game-winning shot from this year's NCAA Tournament? (edit: Danny Green probably does) Guess who assisted the shot. Ryan Arcidiacono.

Arcidiacono was the captain of that Villanova championship team, averaging 12.5 points, 4.2 assists and 1.4 steals in his senior season. While he doesn't physically project to match up well against NBA-level guards, he was a solid three-point shooter in his final year (39%) and showed a knack for taking care of the ball. Those qualities, combined with his high character, will earn him a spot on San Antonio's summer league team, with the prospect hoping to then make the preseason roster or impress other teams in the process.

There's another interesting connection with Arcidiacono, an Italian citizen who's previously played on the national team, currently headed by the Spurs' own Ettore Messina. It won't be Messina coaching him this summer, but the San Antonio assistant may have had something to do with the signing.

To get a feel for Arcidiacono's strengths (and learn how to say his last name) here are some of his highlights from Villanova's 2016 title run:

Spurs just always make the right decisions, the last time they made an error was on Richard Jefferson, but a minor mistake. So 1 mistake in 30 years, while most teams make more than 2 mistakes every year. Speaking of the best front office in the league.
