[quote]More college teams pursuing him than just the Buckeyes are pursuing 11-year-old LeBron James Jr., whose talent is evident.

Dave McMenamin and Brian Windhorst of ESPN:

he already has standing scholarship offers from both Duke and Kentucky, according to a source

This is actually kind of unfortunate. I don't really know how to judge an 11-year-old's talent, but getting this sort of attention at such a young age is rarely a good thing.

There's honestly zero guarantee that LeBron Jr. even becomes a high major d-1 player (I'll admit, it seems pretty likely, though). There's no telling how tall he'll be and there's also nothing close to a guarantee he'll be the athlete LeBron is.

Hope he can manage all of this pressure. We won't really begin to see how good he really is until his freshman and sophomore year in high school.

It's really jarring how many people like this there are on a forum about basketball. :facepalm

Just take a peek at the off the court board.

can we see a father and son tandem soon in NBA...

or more likely can we see the greatest father and son tandem in NBA History

I don't know how to feel about these kind of things. Like, the kid will have all of the coaching in the world, he will have everything given to him on a plate. If he gets his father's genes.. His height etc. I mean, there is not a lot of reasons why this kid won't become someone special like his father was at 18... I just WANT the kid to have that drive to be better than his old man.. There is nothing better for a kid to have that passion and drive to be better than others..

I guess we won't know for another 5/6 years. And even then, at that age, nothing is certain.

Lebron's son plays different from Lebron - he shoots great and has a wide range of moves - no bulldozing or forearm needed.

If LeBron Jr. makes it in the NBA it all but guarantees that Louie (LeBron23) will never graduate from lawschool and will continue to sell shrimp from his bicycle full time into his 60's in order to be able to post 24/7 about LeBron Jr. (and stan whatever team he's playing on)

I was listening to coach Calipari talking about this, and he said that it's something that it's sometimes done out of courtesy to friends and family. Like not a big deal, more like a thumbs up, keep doing what you're doing kind of thing.
