Interesting weakness I noticed for those interested in making an argument: Outside shooting seems to be the only glaring weakness I saw. Only Mullins was a legitimate jumpshooter on the perimeter.

I also think in some ways, the argument that other US men's Olympic teams had better athleticism, I think this team had more skill on the perimeter and skilled 7' big men in the paint with athleticism/post presence.

Give reasons why if you can.

The 2014 Fiba team would get smacked by the Dream Team lol. They wouldn't stand a chance. A roster of Curry, Davis, and Harden as the main stars would not stand a chance against the dream team. on top of that they don't have crazy depth. It wouldn't even be a close game lol. The team that would stand a chance though would be the 2008 Team. Prime Kobe, LeBron, Melo being the dominant scorer he was, peak Wade, Dwight was entering his prime. They also had a lot of veteran leadership through Kidd, and championship experience through a couple players. Kobe would check Jordan, LBJ would matchup with Bird, Kidd against Magic cause CP3 would be too small. The only thing holding back the 2008 team would be their lack of depth at the center position. There wasn't any dominant centers in the NBA except Dwight unlike the 1992 Dream Team who were stacked. I think the 2008 team could beat them once or twice out of a 10 games but def not have a winning record. But if it were to one game it would be the Dream Team. That team was legendary as it gets.

2012 team wouldn't stand a chance...... No centers to guard the dream teams big men.

Give reasons why if you can.

Elite shooting: Curry, Thompson, Irving, harden, rudy gay

Mobile bigs that can run the floor,r rebound and are long with good size: Faried, Davis,Cousins
Andre Drummond

Elite penetrators: Irving, harden

I was pretty impressed with that team to be honest. Davis at the time was looked at as the future and a future hall of famer. Pair him with steph, Kyrie, klay, harden and others and that was a star studded lineup.

Bird :confusedshrug:

I know he barely played and was broken down but all he pretty much was, was a jumpshooter on the perimeter.

Stockton was a great jumpshooter.

The best team ever assembled ... even with Bird and Magic past his prime.

No weaknesses here, the best roster assembled. For those who point to the 3pt shooting, there were at least 3 great shooters here - Bird, Stocton and Mullins.
