Hope not.

But I wouldn't want to play for Spo either, so completely understand.

Hassan
Randle
Ingram
Clarkson
Russell

Helluva young, high-potential starting line-up, if Russell can live up to anything. Course, won't matter once LAL signs Westbrook in 2017. Walton could do wonders w/ that team.

I really hope so. Whiteside would be the perfect defensive anchor at center and would fit in with our athletic starting 5.

The only issue would be our starting 5's maturity, but hopefully Walton has that under control.

Whiteside would be a disaster on a team with no veterans to keep him in check.

The max is too much for this guy, I've got a really bad feeling about him..

+1 I can see why he'd want out of Miami, spo is such a fkn retard

Still need a legit 3&D player at SG/SF someone in the mold of DeMarre Carroll.

everybody is getting max dollars this year the salary cap is raised now

If I were the Lakers I'd totally take the gamble on Whiteside

He's such a beast already, and has shown glimmers of even better

He's 100% gonna want the Max. He's in his mid-late 20s and hasn't gotten paid yet, no way he takes a discount.

Whiteside would be a disaster on a team with no veterans to keep him in check.

This is true, but there aren't many options at center for this year. I'd like to get Horford over Whiteside due to his experience and maturity, but it seems like a lot of teams are going after him.

I'd like to see him go to Portland most out of the teams in the hunt. Boston would be interesting too.

He's worth the risk though IMO.

Lock him in for a 5 year contract Lakeshow

You don't find centers like him often

What's trolling about what he said? Whiteside is probably the 2nd best FA. Would be a big win for the Lakers to land him.

After Bynum I would be hesitant in dealing with Whiteside

This would be huge. With how good he already is, and the potential he has...to be able to land this guy when our biggest weakness by far is at center position.

I am so excited for our future if we can grab him.

I wonder if we can land Cousins for Russell, Randle + picks.
Prepare to sign Westbrook in 2017.

Westbrook, Clarkson, Ingram, Cousins, Whiteside.

Not too shabby. :)

Why would he stay in Miami aside from the great weather? Wade is aging, Bosh may never play again, Dragic is 30, and they have no first round picks. They will get it together eventually because people want to play in Miami. But right now they're a mess. And Whiteside could make the move to another warm-weather city, while playing on a team with actual upside.

Not sure why Laker fans are suddenly choosers. Hassan is an insane pickup for anybody, let alone the Post Cancerbe Lakers

If I'm Mitchos, I'm throwing him a 5 year max contract

Over the last 2 seasons, he's averaged 18/15 per 36 minutes along with 4-5 blocks and on 61-63% FG... He's shown glimpses of his offensive potential.. Has all the tools... No reason why he can't be a 20+ PPG type scorer... Just needs to be the focal point of his own team

brownmamba00

I love Hassan's defensive potential but I won't be banking on him scoring 20+ppg. He doesn't need to average that we have scorers on the team.

Russell
Ingram/Clarkson
Batum
Randle

True I'm probably asking a bit much of him, given he's already 27. But he's just so physically dominant. Max contract impact for sure

Wade has another good year left in him.

Winslow, TJ, and J-Rich are going to breakout (Winslow already is ) as elite defenders.

Dragic is on a terrible contract and is extremely overrated, but he'll probably be good for 18/4/5.

Why Miami? Great weather, gold diggers, and taxes. Also, in two years, the teams core will be Whiteside/Winslow/J-Rich/TJ.

How many years are we talking about here?
I think what made him what he is aside from ability is that he wanted to prove to everyone (esp the teams that rejected him) that he can play, stick it to them etc. If he gets 5-7 years and money, there's a chance that he gets fat and lazy

I would be ecstatic if we signed him but I would still have some worries about his motivation/drive after signing that big contract. But definitely want him rather than not.

PG- Russell
SG - Clarkson
SF - Ingram
PF - Randle
C - Whiteside

Bench - Nance, Black, Williams

Looks solid. Maybe a 30 win team.

So, you're a Lakers/Clippers/Bulls fan?

So, you're a Lakers/Clippers/Bulls fan?

Laker fan. Lived in LA most of my life, grew up on Showtime Lakers. I root for the Clips because they are like the little brother who always struggled in life and you just want them to do well.

Not a Bulls fan at all. I just admire MJ because I think he is the real GOAT.

Hes on par with Horford. Horford is obviously better but hes on the wrong side of 30.

Conley? The guy who has injury issues and is what he is without much improvement? Derozan is an inefficient SG with a bad 3 point shot.

So the other two are the two best players in the world, one whom just won a championship.

You suck dude

Dragic contract wont seem as bad after this FA period. Or especially after next.

LeBron already declared he's staying.

Whiteside is clearly better than Derozan and Conley. Horford is debatable, but Whiteside's youth makes him more coveted.
