They already have Cuckmelo stealing $22 M a season
They traded for past-prime $18M a year Rose
And now they want past-prime $18 M a year Noah

It's a really brilliant plan for building around Porzingis.

Did you see what Phil pulled off?? Did y'all see the move Phil pulled off getting Joakim Noah? Now we got a beast down low to throw the ball to!

This team is already night and day better than last year, so what are you crying about??
A lot of teams would have wanted Noah and Rose.

Aim that high and you might shoot down a plane.

they have melo who can score low on anyone, a developing porzingod, rose who can drive, they just need to get some 3&d players to fill out the roster and they're good.

Phil's Prokhorov-like "win now" window (you just know he doesn't want to do this for more than a couple more years) just doesn't mesh with LeBeast still being in his prime. Sure, they'll always be the #1 sports market so that will always give them a good chance to stay relevant, but they really could become boned (yet again) for the foreseeable future.
Simply put: this group as assembled, even/especially if they resign Rose, CANNOT win the East any season. It will probably be an early-round exit, but even if they reach their absolute ceiling of ECF... there's LeDurable and Clutchrie waiting in the wings.
They are quickly becoming the mid-late '00s Joe Johnson Hawks. Or the D-Will/Joe Johnson Nets. :lol Never in the hunt, AND never in the lottery. On the other hand though, this is basically the group that Melo passed up on by spurning CHI a few years ago, and now he has a chance to see how a somewhat more washed up version of that team would play out, preferably with a healthy Rose though.
Porzingis could be great but I'm not sure it will matter with these ball-dominant fossils.

Rose can score 18 and 7
Melo can score 24 7 and 4
Noah can give 10 and 10
POrz is the key to this team. If he steps it up and becomes a 18-9 player, then this team can be a 3-4 seed.

It's all about NAMES and SELLING TICKETS in New York..not winning...Rose will play 40 games next season, Anthony is fat, and Noah will play in 50 games next season.

Rose will only play half the season..Anthony is fat and can score 20 5..Noah could probably do 10 10..when he's in the game.
