We saw Russell in the 60's
We saw Kareem in the 70's
We saw Jordan in the 90's
We saw Shaq in the 2000's
We saw LeBron in the 2010's
How long till the next Top 5 player? 10 years? 20? 30?
Or maybe its another current player ( Durant )

Dont forget, in the 80s Magic and Larry were top 5 all-time at the time bc MJ, Shaq, and Bron hadnt come along yet.
So we basically get a new entry every decade. I would expect the 2020s to be Lebron James Jr.'s era, and I anticipate him displacing someone in the current Top 5 and joining his father.

Of all the new blood, I think Jabari Parker, KAT, Lavine, D. Russell and Devin Booker are really good. I can see them being future stars.
I think Ingram is a once in a life time player. Like Anthony Davis and Goatbrook. Top 5 potential? Only if they dominate and win.

It's not about being at that level, it's about hype. The best players are always going to get hyped, so for many they think they are seeing Top 5. Kobe used to be considered the GOAT by millions who were new to basketball. I remember many people comparing Durant to Jordan, many thought that he was going to surpass him someday. Look at Curry last year. He's so limited in his overall game, but many of his fans thought he would over take Jordan.

LOL.... that guy doesn't belong in that group. Clearly Kat is future all-time great. Those other guys... not so much.

Yeah. Maybe the Knicks should have colluded. Good point.
Knicks the richest franchise, regardless of how many championships they got. Their relevance still there, someone still talks about them :lol

They are so relevant you talk about lebron 10 times as much as you talk about the Knicks. The only reason i mentioned them is they are right under your profile pic. I'm pretty sure now we've both mentioned the knicks in the same amount of posts in the last 6 months. The difference is you're a "Knicks fan" and I have less than 20 posts.

I talk about the Knicks whenever there's a thread. I didn't get to post in the Noah thread yet though. Make sure you tune in for that.

I don't have another account. I checked out threads on ISH for over a year and realized it's 90% garbage so I didn't post until a little bit ago. Still doesn't change the fact you can't stop taking about a guy who's accomplished more than your franchise.

"your franchise" relax there buddy, I don't play for the Knicks. I just root for them. You don't play for Lebron either. He doesn't need you defending him on a message board. Insult ISH again and we see what happens :pimp:

You didn't have the chance to post in a thread specifically about "your team", but had the time to cherry pick Lebron out of a thread that isn't even about him?

Oh look, another guy that thinks he's on Lebron's payroll :oldlol:
I can't believe someone is talking bad about him again!! Didn't he prove them all wrong already
BTW I went down the page. This thread was near the top when I came on here while the Noah was further down. So relax, if it makes you feel better I also don't think Shaq is a top 5 player.

On topic it's hard to say. Lebron cementing himself in the top 5 (probably top 3]makes it that much harder to get in. Jordan, Kareem, lebron, magic are my top 4. After that wilt, Russell, bird, Hakeem, shaq, Duncan probably round out the top 10. It's just going to get harder to get to the top as time goes on.

I think 'most' people probably have MJ and Kareem as their top 2, after that there's alot of fluidity between Wilt, Russell, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Duncan, and Lebron. You can play musical chairs with their rankings in whatever order based on one's arguing criteria.

Nah
Russell, LeBron, Wilt are in their own tier
Right after them, its Shaq, Magic, Bird, Duncan

No they aren't. Positions 3-8 in the GOAT rankings are separated by minute details. Hell, MJ and Kareem are separated from 3-8 by minute details as well.
Different tiers my ass....

Mods?
What are you calling the mods for you retard?
Give us your argument towards why LeBron isn't top 5 of all time. I want statistics, facts, logical arguments. Something other than "collusion yo and who agreeeez"
Give us anything worth reading, for once in your life. Just once.
Ill be sure to destroy your argument if you do.
Btw Knicks are still garbage.

Bron is easily top five all time. Put the crack pipes down haters. He's got more argument at this point than even Magic. He's quite simply a better and greater basketball player. Only people better and with better resume is Mike and Kareem.

We almost did.
Simmons made it be known he wanted to play for the Lakers only.......then changed his mind obviously after getting some great advice as to not be a whiny unproven bitch.
