It's not like they should be looking for a "franchise" player right now anyway. I think they're just looking for someone to fill in the starting center position and that should be okay with Lakers fans. As long as they get some veteran players along with role players, I think it gives their young players room for growth. It should be more about developing as a team than it is winning right now.

Mozgov is a pretty decent center and no pun intended hit the nail on the head.

He is a pretty decent center that will give guys like Russell and Randle time to grow.

I see what you're saying but it's the fact that we are getting rejected by all these FAs and we have to settle for lower level FAs that make us look bad. It would be one thing if we weren't interested and chose Mosgov instead of settling for him.

The Lakers should still be in building mode right now. In all honesty this signing makes zero sense. They just have a 29 year old center coming off his worse season of his career $16 million a season.
