LAL now at point where even trading Lou and stretching Swaggy doesn't get them double-max space next summer. Even if they give 1st rd pick

Well they had to give up the future to land talent like Mozzy and Deng.

When you have generational 'talent' like that. You have to go all out and make sure they stay long term:lol
The Lakers are at ground zero. They have to build the entire thing up from scratch. It's going to be a long and slow road back.
And as long as Jim Buss is running things, the Lakers are nothing but the Knicks West.

The Lakers don't have a shot at landing top free agents until their lotto picks develop and show something substantial. That's the priority for them right now. Why would superstars who are trying to contend be willing to sit around and wait for these guys to get good?

Duh, Why do you need KD and Westbrook when you have Ingram and Russell.

Honestly, the way things have been going we probably didn't have a shot at either, so who gives a ****. We can still have space to sign a decent player next year.
