View Full Version : Courtney Lee Signs with the Knicks: 4 year / $50 million
Courtney Lee has agreed to sign a four-year, $50 million deal with the New York Knicks.
Lee was a free agent after spending the end of last season with the Charlotte Hornets.
The Knicks had a big hole at shooting guard.

Are they still pursuing Gordon?
Good pick up either way.
I never had an issue with Lee. He's very average.

Big pickup for the Knicks...does all the things they need next to Rose/Melo.
This team is actually shaping up nicely.
Hopefully they can stay healthy.

Yeah looking good for 6th Seed unless Derrick Rose turns back to MVP level and KP takes another step.

Courtney Lee has been underrated for a looooong time...since like 2009. Good defense, mid range and decision making.

Not worth that money. I would rather just give the job to Ron Baker.

To me Lee is just the better fit on this team. Better defender IMO, more willing to be a "cog" with all those mouths to feed, more of a "little things" type of player, whereas Afflalo is a pretty good scorer but overrated elsewhere and just seems kind of redundant with this group. I can totally see why they went with Lee, but filling out the rest of their roster now isn't going to be easy.
So wtf is happening to Affalo

I can see it. Afflalo was all over the place with his chucking last season. If Lee brings in the defense and shooting, this contract will be alright.

Nice pick up. Can they even afford Wade anymore, who apparently is considering NY?

Nope. They just spend $18 million a season on Noah, and $12 million a season on Lee.

Regardless, good player, good move.

Gives that team some solid grit on defense and balances all the ball hogs and egos.
That was a very necessary signing. Knicks looking more rounded now.

Courtney Lee is one of those players that you think would make a lot of sense. He has the aspects of a good defender, decent offensive game and moves well off the ball... yet he can be so frustrating.
