Factor No. 1, according to league sources: Horford was none too pleased with how reluctant the Hawks were to come forward with a full five-year max. Factor No. 2: Atlanta's signing of Dwight Howard. Could there be a more contradicting force in the NBA to Horford than Howard, in terms of substance vs. style?
"He didn't want to play with Dwight," a person familiar with the situation told CBS Sports.

3.5 boards doesn't deserve any cheers.

Nothing we didn't already know. At least for regular season games, the Hawks are one of the worse fan bases in the league. Reminds me of Tampa Bay Rays in the MLB when they were good beating the likes of the the Red Sox and Yankees. No one cared.

Somebody should tell Tito to shove a taco in it.
It sounds like an excuse for mediocre play to me.
So, if the fans don't react the way you want, you'll give up on your team? Teammates and everything?
Anyone who has watched Al play could see how he turns to marsh mellow when things get tough. How is he going to feel when Boston fans get annoyed with his 2 and 3 rebound performances?

We'll see if his play improves a ton in Boston... My guess is that it will not.

Well it's come out that Horford is a quitter when it doesn't go his way. There ya go Boston. He actually didn't play his hardest so he could cash out this offseason LMAO! Now he got his money I don't see why he'd ramp it back up.

I was bashing Horford all season long. He sandbagged it.
He is a declining player. He will continue to do so.

Lets see how passionate the Celtics will be after a patented 2 rebound game in the playoffs.

Doesn't come across as a winner. Definitely not a impact player.

I don't really care if it improves or not. All that matters is if he's happy or not. Apparently he wasn't that happy with the Hawks fans.

Rebounds will usually go down when you're sharing it with another big-man. He was a legit 9-10 rebound per game power forward playing center. His rebounds only went down when he started alongside Millsap. It's not his fault.

16 rebounds in an entire series. SIXTEEN. He's soft now. Scared to go up because of his pecs. Btw I don't know why you're so intent on talking down to fan bases when the Cavs were apart of the most heinous act in fan history mass burning LeBron's jersey then being little cucks when he comes running back. All going back on their word.

Part of the issue is is that he plays too far away from the basket. I don't mind a big-man developing a jumper, but the fact he's trying to develop into a three point shooter center just pulls him away from the basket.

I would honestly rather have Dwight then Horford (assuming no major chemistry issues or distractions).
Not once have I seen Horford play and say "wow". What is the number one thing he's going to bring to a team?

Whatever issues he might have had with fans, he still was getting paid and he still quit on his teammates. He is a quitter. He could have played hard for his teammates in the playoffs and still left after the season. He didn't. He quit on his teammates in the most critical games of the season. That makes him a loser.
Now, the Hawks had gone as far as they were going to go with him anyway. If Boston fails to land Durant, they're still going out in the first or 2nd round. Horford is not a superstar, and honestly... He doesn't deserve to be one of the highest players in league. Especially not when you factor in that he is already declining at 30 years old. I mean, how mediocre will he be in a couple of years?
He could have helped the Hawks in a S&T. He handed his exit like a bitch. He is having his daddy do all his talking for him. He is a coward.

Nothing justifies his weak rebound effort in the playoffs. Some PG's can rebound better than what he did in the playoffs.

Sap isn't that much better of a rebounder than Josh Smith was on average when he was here. Josh averaged 8 rebounds per game as a Hawk just like Millsap does. So that's not an excuse.

Now some on the radio are saying he left because of Dwight Howard.
It doesn't make a difference to me why he left. He didn't play hard when it mattered. He sandbagged it the last couple of years. He is a loser.
