True, Curry was most certainly dominating in the regular season, and being a Jazz fan I can tell you first hand that Kobe is very dominant. LeBron though is just more dominant than both

I'll go top 5 surefire...including regular-season, playoffs and finals play.

1A) Jordan
1B) Shaq
2) Kareem
3) LeBron
4A) Wilt
4B) Hakeem

At their ABSOLUTE best, there were probably no better players dominating both sides of the ball.

Well as you can see from my list I have Lebron near the top.
The fact this guy come in and laughs at my list shows he's a bias Lebron troll. I've been defending the Lebron fam over the last month because I thought the majority of them were more rational. Then I get this response. I might change my tune

I'm inclined to place Barkley and Iverson up there except for their defensive liabilities. And I wouldn't know who to remove. But I think they should get a shout out

Russell?

Sure he has the dynasty run Celtics, but still. Jordan tied him for second all time MVPs with 5, one less than Kareem, and only Wilt and Bird have equaled his three MVPs in a row from 1961-1963.

Sure you can say its in the vacuum of his time, but he should be in anyone's Top 10 of dominant players in NBA history.

His comment though was based on pure bias.

I base my opinion on being heads and shoulders the most ungaurdable and accurate player beyond 23 feet. Whether you agree or not does not make that opinion laughable.

Peak Wilt: 50/26/2 on 51%, probably 5+ bpg
Peak Kareem: 35/17/5 on 57%, probably 4-5 bpg
Peak Shaq: 30/14/4 on 58%, 3 bpg

Those guys have to be the top 3 imo. I know that most people will have Shaq at #1, but if we're going by pure statistical dominance, Wilt and Kareem certainly have a case. Jordan and then Lebron would round out the top 5.

Magic passing is better than anything Lebron can do. Magic is a passing savant. Lebron is a jack of all trades, master of none. This is about being DOMINANT. Magic's passing is far more DOMINANT than anything Lebron does.

LeBron might be the most dominant player on both sides of the ball, outside of only MJ. Dominant defender and dominant offensive player.

LeBron
Shaq

Nobody are even close to these three.

That's the thing though. When they are both on, Lebron's combination of everything easily outweighs Magic's passing at his best.

When Lebron's fired up on defense, his jumper is falling and his passing doesn't even have to be ''on'' because he's constantly so good at it anyway, that easily outweighs Magic's passing at his peak.

That's like saying Curry is more dominant than Wade because he's a scoring savant and Wade is a jack of all trades. Personally give me peak Wade any day any time, his all-round game, great scoring and great passing ability + elite ability to block shots and get steals>>>>>just being elite at scoring

2-4. Kareem/Shaq/Jordan
5-10. LeBron/Russell/Magic/Bird/Oscar/Hakeem
11-12. Duncan/healthy Baylor

I wouldn't ever call Magic a "passing savant". That's an insult to a player who is officially #2 in career triple doubles. Magic was a guy who would give you 20 ppg on ridiculous efficiency, since, apart from having fancy, smart scoring moves that, unfortunately, few appreciate, he was incredibly capable of drawing fouls. Overall, he was a much better scorer than what his rough ppg indicate. His rebounding was GOAT level among guards and he was a steals demon early on in his career.

A passing savant would be someone who has little to offer apart from his passing.

This.

Dominance is not the number of rings. Dominance has more to do with sustained production on the court, and the destruction of the other team.
The most effective player to dominate other teams is the bigman, even in this age of Curry and Small Ball. Chamberlain, O'Neal, and Jabbar at their peaks were nigh unstoppable with and without the ball, destroying man defense with high percentage shots or finding easier shots for teammates upon double teaming, and annihilating offenses by erasing the interior and controlling the boards. Too bad that we never got a chance to see two generational players at the same time. Over 82 games and the playoffs in general, they give you the highest chance at winning consistently against the most varied competition, consistently building leads in the game.

However, perimeter greats like Jordan, LBJ, West, Robertson, Johnson, Bryant are all more effective during the clutch situations because they can get the ball earlier in the shotclock than the bigs and hit more tough outside shots to cut leads. If you're in a close game in the playoffs, they're better.
