Kings loading up on wings this FA season. Again, I'm really liking Vlade's FA signings. Now just for that signature trade...

So far, Kings have signed:

Aaron Afflalo - $25m/2yrs
Anthony Tolliver - $16m/2yrs
Matt Barnes - $12m/2yrs
Garrett Temple - $24m/3yrs

Clearly McLemore is on the way out. Hopefully in a group package w/ Cousins.

Not sure why Temple got 3 years, I'm guessing agent wanted it. But looks like Vlade is building for a 2018 FA spree when Cousins and Gay are off the books and WCS, Koufos, Temple, and the 4 rookies will be only players possibly still on contract.

But Kings are insanely deep. Just...have no stars besides Cousins...

Obviously cousins was a good pick but his attitude is bringing them down. Other than him you could have picked players out of a hat and ended up with more exciting prospects.

Don't mean to rub it in on Kings fans, but Kings are one of those teams that continually fck up trades and drafts.


Basically anything on the market is better than those two collectively.

Just saying that I'm tired of seeing struggling teams make the same mistake.


You have to set out a plan and stick to it. That includes not settling for ANYTHING, because that shows the stars that you have that you can properly run a team.


Potential suitors look at the Kings as plan B or C, or a team who will throw absurd money to get anyone.

The Kings didn't overpay, everything were short 2-3 years contracts to meet the cap floor for the next two years. Rondo no longer plays defense, so it was likely a coaching move. Not really a dropoff going to Collison, after he gets all his legal shit sorted out.

off-court stuff aside, I just think Kings could upgrade at the PG. King's should've got in that George Hill trade, tried trading for Dragic before Whiteside re-signed, or trade for Rubio now, etc.
