Actually no they didn't. There was no free agency stuff involved at all.

Danny Ainge had to make trades to make that Big Three happen....same as Red did with Bird/McHale/Parish. KG, Paul and Ray didn't get together to plan it all out. Both collided. Durant did something different though in that Miami had no bench it's first year. Bosh was no superstars it was basically wade and bron carrying heavy load. Lebron left a team that struggled to put talent together.

Durant had a squad in OKC. He had his wade but also several versatile big men and overall better team.

Golden state has 3 players that can go off for 40 points at any time consistently. Miami never had that. You have 3 shooters that can hit 6 7 3 pointers I'm the same game each.
