2003 Kobe losing to the Spurs. At this point LeBron/Durant would have joined San Antonio.

Waited 7 years to celebrate again through hard work and commitment!

If Kobe LeBron'd/KD'd his career it would have been like this:

1997-2003: Lakers
2003-2007: Spurs
2007-2010: Lakers
2010-2016: Spurs/next team

He would have had 10 rings and that's not an exaggeration

There is little glory in the LeBron/Durant way. LeBald's Cleveland win---once things simmer down--will forever be the "oh if Kyrie and the Cavs didn't get the #1 pick" LeBron wasn't going back. He wasn't part of the rebuild!

Kobe tried to team hop. He's no Jordan.

Jordan hopped sports.

Kobe STAYED in LA. Actions are louder than words.

Only because there's no more Shaqs around to carry players to rings like Kobe had.

Pau would be the 5th best player on the 17 Warriors.

He was originally drafted by the Hornets. You piece of $hit.

Actually he was going to play for MJ in Washington before he got fired by Abe Pollin. If Lakers didn't let Shaq go he was going to sign either with Chicago or Clippers. And in summer 2007 was dead set on being traded to Chicago. The inclusion of Deng was he only reason it didn't happen.

LeBron/Durant didn't have Shaq to carry them to 3 straight titles

You can't compare guys who are already drafted to successful, winning organizations/situations to those who were not.

What reason did guys like Kobe, Duncan, Magic, Bird have for leaving their teams? They never had to STRUGGLE.

In fact, the one stretch Kobe had to struggle, he wanted out.

A guy like Dirk Nowitzki is someone who should be praised for this.

Agreed just like Dirk and Duncan.

Not everyone has the privileged of playing for an all time great organization. Kobe has been privileged his whole life. Growing up rich in wine vineyards, piggybacking Shaq and the GOAT coach to a 3peat, then crying and demanding a trade until the Lakers got Pau Gasol (2010 fmvp) for peanuts.

Kobe was out of this discussion from day 1 when he forced himself away from a small market team to the Lakers.

He also was demanding a trade after 2007.

So, change the thread title to Dirk, Duncan, or Wade and we'll be okay.

Its easy being loyal when surrounded by talent... Dirk is by far the GOAT loyal guy.

Dirk has had plenty of talent. Cuban always has spared no expense. And he's been there ever since Dirk was there.

Nash, Finley, Van Excel
Terry, Stackhouse, J Howard
Kidd, Terry, Marion, Stephenson, Chandler

He's never had a bum squad. Especially relative to the comp. Not like the shit rosters MJ, KG, Kidd, McGrady, LeBron, and Wade have had to endure at various times.

Duncan and Dirk have always had beast squads around them. Great run franchises from a management perspective.
