Just like last season, GS will be the heavy favorites. And GS will also lose again as the heavy favorites.

I could see something similar to the 2010-11 season, but casual fan emotions won't be quite as intense as what we saw with the 2010 Heat. Firstly, Lebron is simply a different level of star. Neither Durant nor Curry commands as much attention as Lebron. They tried with Curry last year, and it just didn't end up the way they expected. Then the whole "Lebron leaving his hometown" in narrative 2010 makes things different in the average fan's mind.

On a related note, I'd say that Lebron should be the favorite to win next season's MVP given the last 3 MVP winners are now on the same team. If he plays ~75 games and the Cavs win 60 games I'd say it's his to lose.

Will be interesting to see. There was a lot of Curry backlash last year...and this move won't help the casual fan pulling for the Warriors.
