View Full Version : Heat offering Wade 2 years 40 Milllion?

The Miami Heat's 2-year, $40 million offer to Dwyane Wade, which includes a player option for the second year, was always among the contingencies discussed between the sides. The noise about a $10 million offer was way overblown and, to my understanding, was more representative of how apart they were in total initially over a 2-year deal (for instance 2-yr/$30 vs 2-yr/$40). Ball's in Wade's court now. Heat's deal can't get better without cutting into already depleted remaining roster.

Mozgov is set to make $16M a season. Wade was the best player on a 48 win team and carried his team to G7 in the ECSF. With KD gone, there's literally no one who can make the Heat a contender. Unless LeBron has an aneurysm and decides to come back to the Heat.

I would look elsewhere and try to get a 4 year/80 million deal. Time is now to cash in. He's 36 in 2 years.

Dwayne Wade has the worst agent.

His shoe made by a company no one knows about

Always taking a pay cut. Were the rings worth it? His boyfriend is in Cleveland now celebrating and Wade is begging for a contract from Miami. The pay cut only helped Pat Riley and LeBron.

It's more than fair. He's not going to get anymore from the Heat (at least I hope not). He doesn't have any leverage anymore. Miami has nothing to lose. Miami can move on and roll with the young guys because they have nothing to play for. So it's up to him whether he's a Heat lifer or not.

He should and he will take it.

He most likely will, unless he's looking at something like Mozgov's deal. I doubt that though. He will retire by '19.

On a side note, is Mike Wallace a top 5 NBA journalist?

Lebron should take the min vet, let the Cavs give his salary to Wade then Lebron can sign his 200m deal next season.

so easy. I should be a GM
