After he couldn't convince even al freaking horford to play with him and westbrook he realized okc wasn't going anywhere. The team wasn't going anywhere.

Pretty much the sad truth. Just a bunch of false hope. Durant made the best decision he ever could in life.

honestly think one of the reasons could have been that Westbrook wasn't committed long term. Durant probably asked Westbrook this.

Durant was just looking out for the lebron fam, he wants to make sure gsw chokes in the finals agian and lebron becomes the GOAT.

He's got an option for the second year, he's probably banking on taking it easy for a year, getting a ring and then starting somewhere else from scratch again. Possibly with Westbrook.

I agree. He stated the other day that he would make what he felt was the best "basketball decision", and he did. Once we divest ourselves of all of the emotion and recently conjured up ideas such as "doing things the right way" and "winning as the man", we have to admit that KD ultimately made the most sensible basketball decision.
