Lol Oscar was easily a top 10 player 30 years after he retired, until the likes of Shaq/Duncan/Kobe/LeBron surpassed him. Hell, some people still have him top 10

I'll tell you this. He just dodged a bullet with this Durant move, because if the Slim Reaper stays put in Golden Stacked long term, he will never be able to approach Kobe.

Curry on the other hand... healthy Steph is already better and more conducive to team success than Kobe ever was individually, and eventually the accolades will line up with that. It's going to be hard to judge the full bodies of work of guys like Curry and Durant when it's all said and done because both are at least like... top 20 talents all-time, and I think we've seen that, but now they're not only taking pressure off one another but are surrounded by one of the most all-time insane supporting casts EVER, if not the most.

I'll say the Mamba, combining individual play plus accolades, will still be top 11-15 in 5 years for me, because of the active players who haven't already eclipsed him (aka the guys who aren't LeBron or Duncan basically), Curry is the only one who really has the capacity to IMO.
