They played GOAT tier teams in every finals. It was the greatest era for top tier teams, winning 5 and losing 9 is fine with me.

1980 - 76ers
1982 - 76ers
1983 - 76ers
1984 - Celtics
1985 - Celtics
1987 - Celtics
1988 - Pistons
1989 - Pistons
1991 - Bulls

The Lakers were even MORE stacked than those teams

2 Top 6 GOATs

Norm Nixon

Michael Cooper

James Worthy

Even one finals loss with that lineup is inexcusable

LeBron colluded and team hopped not once but TWICE though...

They also had 2 top 5 GOATs playing on the same team with a great supporting cast while playing in a conference weaker than the current East.

He didn't team hop, he was traded to the heat for draft pics, learn the definition of collusion spastic.

Not like KAJ and Magic were in their primes together. If that were the case, they would've no doubt won more. And despite the West being weaker than the East back then, it still doesn't change the fact that they had to face a truly GOAT tier team in every one of those finals.

He ditches the team for a few years to join another with the top 2 and top 4 player in the league

Let's his old home team accumulate draft picks after abandoning them

Leaves his newly colluded team to join back with his old one and quickly using the stockpiled draft picks to pick up the best power forward in the league

Let us be serious this is the very definition of collusion

And Lebron didn't?

2012 Thunder with three now superstars playing together and a DPOY player.
2013-14 Spurs are an ATG team.
2015-16 Warriors win 67 and 73 wins. Greatest RS team of all time and had the UMVP.

What's your point?

This is in no way collusion, lebron was a free agent and allowed to talk to whoever he liked, once the cavs saw he was possibly leaving they traded him out of his will to the heat.

What's your point? Did the OP or I mention LeBron? But you do in a thread that has nothing to do with him.

They should've won that year. Worthy and Magic choked. They were clearly the better team in my eyes.

But gott'a give credit to Bird. His rebounding helped a lot.

Your original post said that it was the best era for top tier teams. That's not true.
