Remember back in 2012 they were the young up and coming team? Durant, Westbrook, & Harden all on one ****ing team. We didn't know at the time just how good Harden would be, but he ends up being an elite player in Houston. Can you just imagine if that group stayed together?? Durant-Westbrook-Harden in 2016 would have been scary as shit.
Instead the Thunder demise was having an owner that was too cheap.

Not really. They basically have 3 shooting guards and none of them were great at defense.

Not giving Harden the deal he wanted, eventually giving that money to Kanter, then realising a year later the Harden money they didn't want to pay couldn't even get Mozgov or Evan Turner will remain one of the greatest **** ups in NBA history.
Look forward to 30/30s in 20 years time on what OKC could have been.

Wth happened to Sefalosha? I remember him being a good defender.
Also, the owner didn't anticipate a 33% plus increase in cap space.

That isn't a dynasty... OKC team was good enough last year to beat the Warriors, Durant just didn't lead the way enough in the last 3 games.

You get what you pay for. If you refuse to spend money, then be prepared to lose your superstars. The effect may be much worse than just losing one player, since by doing so you risk loss of faith from your other players too. No way Durant left Thunder if Harden was on the rosters.

People always ignore opportunity. Harden wouldn't be Harden had he not left OKC. More similar to what Manu did in S.A. He needs the ball. He's basically a PG for Houston. Westbrook/Harden is an awful fit for 35 minutes a game.
OKC would have been better with Harden obviously given the return outside of Adams. He still would have done damage. He wouldn't be as dominant as he's been with Houston tho. While Harden is underrated on ISH and people break his game down unfairly compared to his peers I do question how lazy he would have gotten playing 6th man in OKC.
