Dallas got good team for top 5 finish in west. Basically 2 of the starting 5 73 win team.

I would say 17 ppg more like it.

Kawai averaged 21/7 last year.

Barnes is going to put up better numbers than Kawai now?

When Harden left OKC, his ppg went up 9 points per game. Obviously he is no Harden, But I predict 6 point up.

Somewhere between 15-20 points. Doesn't really matter though. What will matter is if he actually stays on the court and improves his game. Unlike what Parsons could do for Dallas.

Hes not doing 23/whatever but the Kawhi argument is wrong, Kawhi would do 25/8 on a team like the Mavs.

8-10 ppg. He will prove how overrated he was.

Harrison Barnes with confidence can be a very good player. He's never going to be a 1 option or 2 option, but I can see him being your high quality "glue guy" for years to come.

He's built perfect for SF due to his athletiscm and strength. Legit 6'8 235-240. His stats for Dallas will be...

16-17 PPG on 47% shooting
8 rebounds (He's a very good rebounder at SF)
2 assists
1 steal
1 block

His peak is probably going to be 19-20 PPG 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Barnes as a #1/2 option is going to be hilariously bad. Add on the pressure of that huge contract? :oldlol:

That isn't how the Mavs play.

It is a steady does of Dirk PnR with Williams, Harris, Barea....and now Seth Curry.

Barnes will not just be thrown the rock and asked to consistently create the offense.

We will look to find some mismatches in the post off of some PnR switches or doubles on Dirk at the nail potentially.

He will be asked to spread the floor, defend, and attack the rim when a lane is there.

I don't love Barnes at all...but we didn't bring him in to just run an offense around him. Not the way Rick/Dirk do things.

seeing as parsons put up 16/5/3.. gotta think barnes does the same with more rebounding.. i like barnes a lot more than parsons too for this team because his athleticism and size will be very important.

I'm with you. I don't see him averaging any less than 16ppg.

He is far, far better than Jeff Green.

18/6/3 on 42/33/75 shooting. NO WAY he shoots above 44% next season.

Gonna get exposed so hard when he is asked to create shots.

Sugarcoat it however you want, but the Mavs need another guy who can produce besides Dirk. The Warriors moved the ball, and exploited mismatches better than anyone in the league. Barnes consistently had wide open jumpers and wide open lanes to the rim. Yet in 31mpg he averaged 12/5/2. Look, I like Barnes, and I wanted him to turn into something special, probably more than anyone, but he has some major flaws. He can't create his own shot, can't dribble worth shit, isn't a great passer, and has poor lateral foot speed... making him a poor overall defender. He can hit open jumpers, post-up a bit, is a decent rebounder, and defends the post well. Maybe he'll play looser with no real expectations, although that $24m a year he's making might just replace the pressure of playing for a contender. I honestly hope he proves me wrong.

Sugarcoat it? I hate the signing. I don't like him at the max at all. LOL

I was just telling you that he's not going to be asked to be the number 1 option on offense like you intimated.

He's a role player. Perhaps as good one...nothing more.

His game is exactly like Jeff Greens. Both are good but not great shooters and decent rebounders..Both play above average d..Jeff can create a little more on his own now and thats what how I think Barnes will turn out. Hes really never showed signs of a 22-23ppg scorer,he'll be around 15-16ppg his whole career, good role player ,no star though

This thread is looking rather laughable right now, and what is funny is it's the warrior fans that are the most off. How you can't scout a guy that you watched play on your team for 4 years?
