Curry vs lebron rivalry is just like magic vs bird all over again. Stacked both teams they already have one ring a piece in this rivalry. Now there is no chance anyone else makes the finals.

Its lakers vs celtics all over again.

Who actually excited about this?? Its obvious more now than ever that nba is a money biased sport and not an integral organisation with a love for the sport.

PS:cp3 shouldve been a laker

It really isn't.

Except lebron is a top 3 GOAT and has never lost an mvp to a teammate, meanwhile the other isn't even top 50

Both Magic and Bird ''lost'' FMVP's to teammates.

Well the personalities and play style no. But two of the best players in the league having a free ride the finals yes. Its even pg vs sf.

curry vs lebron is way too early to say that and doesn't fit with them being in different stages of their career. Lakers-Celtics I could definitely see however.

:facepalm

That doesn't make it comparable to Magic and Bird. The fact that you dare to say such a thing shows you have no clue what you're talking about. Absolutely none.

Magic lost it to a top 3 GOAT and bird lost it as a rookie in the league
Curry lost it to another teammate who isn't even top 50 all time

Im talking about the set up and the rivalry not the individual accolades. Both magic and bird had teams no one could compete with and it made for good ratings

LMFAO @ Lebron vs. Curry.... no dude. Just no.

It's Durant vs. LeBron and Irving vs. Curry.

Curry is now officially the 2nd option... whether you salty f@ggots know it yet or not.

James Worthy isn't exactly top 3 GOAT material.

He lost to kareem the top 3 GOAT
And james worthy is still ranked higher all time than iguadala

Thats yet to be confirmed its gonna be interesting watching two mvps who are capable of 30ppg play alongside eachother. Have we ever seen this before??

I got you and I agree. It's not a literal comparison like finding similarities between the 4 players. It's about both teams being so stacked that they meet in the finals for many years to come. Would you compare this warriors team to the Showtime Lakers or bird Celtics as far as how stacked they are?

No. A 73-win team just added the league's second best player.

It's more like Bird joined Magic's Lakers :oldlol:

Umm i dont know. U would say the lakers. Given that kareem magic and bird were the three best players. And durant curry and lebron are the three best.

So golden state have 2 of the top three just like the lakers

How pathetic would that have looked?

We should be seeing Durant go at Curry battling every year for that #1 spot and for the championship.

But instead, this clown wants to JOIN him to beat up on the rest of the vastly inferior, weaker competition.

How WEAK is that?

What a JOKE this guy is.

F*ck him and f*ck that whole team too.

not blaming you since I feel a little bit of the same way but some of this must come from you being a cp3 guy right?

not blaming you since I feel a little bit of the same way but some of this must come from you being a cp3 guy right?Nah, actually this helps the Clippers' chances if anything because now there's one less team in the west ahead of them that they have to deal with. Maybe they can get the 2nd seed next season.

This is just me as a fan of the game and competition. I can't imagine Michael joining Larry Bird and the Celtics after they kept whooping his teams' ass every year. Or Larry joining the Lakers after he kept losing to them. Those guys wanted to compete against eachother.

i see. I get it, I would take a Warriors-Cavs finals over the field. Only problem with too much parity is a good chance you won't have an all time great team as champion(mid 2000's for example). Still Rs and most of the playoffs will most likely be even worse than last year and it was already kind of watered down last year. That's just too bad

Lebron vs. Durant, Irving vs. Westbrook. More interesting matchup to me.

I think this is just bad for the game. It will bring more interest and ratings, but it hurts the essence of what the game is about, competition.

And it sets a bad example for young kids. Instead of wanting to compete they'll just try to team up with eachother. Not good.

all you can hope for now is the Warriors encounter some problems like the Heat did. Yea the East was weak those years but the Heat didn't have a big edge on the whole league at all so it was still pretty competitive. I'm guessing you gave Lebron a hard time too then.

What do you think about all this? Even if you don't hate it as much you gotta see where me and others are coming from right?

No one told you, dude? Curry era is over (15-16) Lebron monolithic era has resumed. Curry will slowly but surely revert to the reggie miller statlines he has always been destined for.

Lebron vs Durant has some potential however. The former a slightly better player vs the latter with a significantly better team. Should be interesting.

ofc. I mean Durant was in great situation, GS was the only situation he could've gone too that would've been better. GS being already basically a championship team is pretty unprecedented and the fact that OKC was a legit contender doesn't help either. I'm not going give him too much shit since I'm fine with guys looking out for themselves but this is definitely the easy route and one of the easiest ones we've seen. Ofc, Durant could also be not helping his legacy at all if he's not considered a top 5 player the next few years(it's happened before) so it's not necessarily all positive for his legacy.
