Did he not see the backlash Lebron took? He's a fcking moron if he didn't think he would get it too.

And he had better wear that hate badge with pleasure, or else he's gonna crumble under the pressure.

LeBron's gonna rip his heart out. Good luck, Warriors.

I've lost respect for this skinny dweeb.

But he's still my favorite player. If he wins a ring with GSW, that would be great. If he doesn't, I wouldn't mind.

Either way, both of my boys (LeBron and KD) will end up winning it all these next few years. Nobody else is in the conversation. I'm good, fam! :pimp:

Why the **** would someone wanna be hated? Just not in his personality. But it has nothing to do with the fact that he's gonna shit on the entire league while he beats his chest like an ape. I'm scared for KD haters this upcoming season... it's gonna be brutal to watch for you losers

People said the same about LeBron. LMFAO!

Oh and BTW... LeBron even came out and admitted he hated playing as the villian. He said he didn't get back to his true self until he started having fun again... you people are ****ing foolish. Clueless.

I don't think it's going to be brutal for people who don't like Durant for doing this, because him winning is going to be viewed as worthless.

And it's just pathetic for bandwagon fans because they're just emotionally weak people who always have to jump to a winning team in order to not feel empty. I'm sure that part of their personality is evident in other areas of their everyday life. They emotionally need to associate with a winner even though that winner has nothing to do with them.

This guy is just a quintessential vag. I'm sorry ... it's the cold, hard truth.

And I've always liked Kevin Durant despite him playing for a team that I had no emotional attachment to. He always seemed like a decent guy.

This move is just beyond the pale and now hearing his PR concerns ... ugh.

And, he better get ready, because if they don't win 65+ games and then a title, he's going to get absolutely skewered. The Warriors were good enough to win the title this coming season without him and he's undeniably a Top 3-5 player in the league, so conventional wisdom should tell you this is a cakewalk.

But we're talking about a major league front-runner, here. If things start to go south, this guy will totally sh!t his pants. I'm serious. Actual fecal matter in his undergarments.

lol. I dunno man, like I said before... I don't see the problem with it in today's NBA.

When people were like the Warriors can get KD... I'm surprised more people didn't see it coming. Why would he not go there? If it was OK before, it's OK now.

War fans should not suck hole over getting an All-Star to protect self less bus riders as Barkley quite frankly stated.

If War's don't win title , and put winning smirk on cvnt lips Kerr...

It is one as$ time in Oakville.

Quick, name the last time a Top 3-5 player in his prime opted in free agency to join a 65+ win team who were coming off of at least one championship in the previous two seasons (and a finals appearance in the other).

I'm not acting like it was OK before because nothing like this has ever happened in NBA history. What Kevin Durant just did, at the tender age of 27, is unprecedented. I'm not so much surprised as disappointed. Disappointed for OKC fans. Disappointed for the 29 other NBA franchises.

OK with the formation of superteams that has been happening in the NBA since, I dunno... prolly before 07, but def since.

This is just a reflection of that as well as the strange way the salary cap is expanding. **** it, it's just funny that people are melting down.

Edit: @ RBA name the last time a player had a chance like that, and was able to get a max-ish contract. If Durant is taking a MLE that's different. Usually this wasn't an option because of money. No team with that level of wins had the money to add another superstar contract.

When has it ever had a chance of happening? The same question I posed. People had this chance and were like nah nvm competitive balance? Is he taking a tiny contract? Is there something I don't know about this? Cuz I apologize if he's taking a tiny contract, that's a bit different.

I don't like the move at all, because I believe the Warriors didn't need him and he didn't need the Warriors, but if I was talking to Durant I'd tell him not to worry because in this digital-internet-social media age memories are short. 3 months from now the buzz will have worn off, let alone 3 years from now. If he wins a championship or two while playing well he will win some of his fans back. But it just feels different. Like Reggie said recently (paraphrasing), "winning 3 or 4 championships in GS will never be the same as winning just 1 in OKC". I kinda agree with that. As a Duncan fan I'm kinda glad that he never felt compelled to join prime Shaq, Dirk, Garnett, Amare, Sheed & Big Ben, etc (and re-signing to be alongside an aged, post-surgery Robinson ain't the same)... but still, nonetheless, people will get over it in time. He wouldn't be the first superstar/all-star to win a "first championship" with a team that didn't draft him (Shaq, Drexler, Lebron, etc). At this point, I almost feel like Durant will secretly root for his own team to lose to then comeback and say "See guys, I didn't join a super team!"... who know, maybe he'll ghost like Lebron did in 2011
