no pun intended

“And there’s no question, I know Russell [Westbrook] was bothered by — and some other teammates were too — of, like, there was some knowledge there that Draymond [Green] was in contact with Kevin [Durant] all season long and they’re in a playoff series and I know there was some conversation around the Thunder team of ‘hey man, this guy kicked Steven Adams in the nuts twice in this series and what are you doing hanging out with this guy? What’s the relationship? We’re trying to beat these guys.’”
Colluding at its finest.

Is it no surprise Durant and Green were both terrible in that series?

Btw, I highly recommend listening to The Vertical podcast episode with JVG speaking about KD for whoever hasn't yet. Good insight here.

As they should be. I still love KD as a player and want him to do well in GSW, but dude has come off as the most bitchass beta superstar I've seen in quite some time.

Yep.
Dude's a pu$$y. Plain and simple.
He's still my favorite player, though, and he's still the 2nd best player in the world behind LeBron.

I think some fans just want to see opposing teams and players hate each other for entertainment purposes. Like Cedric Maxwell saying "if I had a glass of water and the Lakers were on fire, I'd drink my water and watch them burn".
People say this generation is too buddy-buddy because of AAU, perhaps there's truth to it, but as long as you play hard against each other it's fine.
Magic, Isiah, and Jordan had friends around the league and they were as competitive as they come. Russell used to let Chamberlain sleep at his house when he was in town to play the Celtics.
People not liking Durant joining up with friends on a team who went 73-9 and beat him in a 7 game conference final, now that's a different story.
