I agree burning the jersey is a little much. Wade won them 3 rings and became the face of south Florida. The Heat were obviously on the decline and headed to rebuilding mode and not fair to expect Wade to rot while the Heat are rebuilding. Same reason why Westbrook isn't going to stay with OKC after next season.

Riley should have done an incentive-based contract, maybe a minimum number of games with a certain level of statistical output. I'm guessing he weighed paying Wade for his loyalty to what can he reasonably expect from a near 35 year old guard with an injury history. Too bad though, I was hoping Wade would finish his career there.
