They were already compared to '96 Bulls and won 73 games but then somehow add an all time level superstar in KD, I don't think anyone can refute that they're officially the greatest team of all time.

Hesitant to go that far so soon in terms of giving them that title this soon. I'm sure Durant will mesh well and they'll get 66-69 wins without breaking a sweat, but in order to become "officially" the GOAT team it has to happen on the court IMO.

Greatest compilation of talent ever on an NBA roster? Yeah, almost unquestionably. Golden Stacked.

They have no rim protection, and their bench is f.ucking awful.

So what. If MJ, Shaq, Gary Payton, Penny, Pippen, and Malone got together in 1996, this woulda been the GOAT team.

Look at that defense, look at that scoring, look at that rebounding.

Warriors are not even close to the same team that won 73 games. They lost Bogut, their one true rim protector, and replaced him with a backup in Zaza Pachulia.

Their bench isn't as deep as well. They lost their only proven backup center in Ezeli, so they have to go small, find someone else, or use their rookie Damian Jones. Barbosa is another big loss off the bench. He played terrific in the finals, and they only have a second round rookie to replace him so far.

With the addition of Kevin Durant and the loss of five contributors from last year(if you count Speights) they are moving away from the "Strength in numbers" approach and will probably have a tighter 8 man rotation later in the playoffs.

Without their only true rim protector and with a more top heavy team structure they are a very different team. How can you claim they are GOAT team now when the main reason they lost the finals --besides the garbage suspension to extend the series and the phantom calls on Curry-- was the fact their only rim protector in Bogut got hurt? Now he's completely gone and replaced by Zaza. Interior defense is necessary for any GOAT level team.

That's what people said last year and they weren't even the best team in the league.

I don't think they'd lose that final if they had Kevin Durant instead of Harison Barnes, Bogut or no Bogut.
