View Full Version : Brandon Ingram is the REAL Deal

Larry Jr. after a couple practices said this kid is the real deal.

Luke Walton was amazed at his play and how he seemed to be everywhere on the court making a huge impact.

This kid will be ROY. He looks like the tallest guy on the team in the practices. Will be a 7'0 SF with unreal length and a great shot.

We will see. I think he struggles. KD was skinny coming out of Texas but Ingram looks almost unhealthy skinny.

I think Ben Simmons wins Rookie of the year with Buddy Hield as the darkhorse.

Luke Walton: "He has a lot of strength, hes pushing guys for rebounds and going hard through picks".

Everyone is saying he's a lot stronger than he looks. LOL Buddy at being higher than Ingram for ROY.

He's 6'10 and growing.

Isn't he 6'8 without shoes?

That was in 2015. Probably a good 6'9 or so now, and about 6'10 and a half in shoes.

AirTupac

He's 18 (younger than D'Angelo was when he entered). He could easily grow to be 7'0 by 21-22

Standing next to 7'1 Zubac who's wearing sneakers while Ingram has on dress shoes.

However here, Ingram looks about an inch shorter than Mitch Kupchak, but Kupchak is as almost as tall as Zubac despite being listed at 6'9. So Kupchak must be taller than listed, or Zubac must be much shorter than 7'1.

How's 130 Million in contracts to Luol Deng and Timofey Mozgov treating you?

How's your 2017 Pick going to Philly going to treat when the Lakers suck again next year? :lol

Yet we're in a better position than Nuggets. Its good actually cause we have potential superstars on our team that we are trying to improve so we signed players who can be used to assist them in improving.

They can have the pick, they are another scrub team who have been rebuilding for 10 years. Lakers have done everything in 2-3 years and we are in a better position than them :lol :lol

Larry's no scrub, bump this thread when he takes over the starting 4 spot on our team (If Luol isn't moved to the 4).

YEAR TWO?? You guys missed the playoffs the last 3 seasons and haven't made it out of the 1st round since 2009.

Do you REALLY want me to list what we've accomplished since 2009?

Wtf is a rebuild if you never had anything to build on in the first place??

Fair enough, but he flat out isn't a scrub. He's not a star but he's a nice, NBA level player. No scrub.

Anthony Brown is a scrub. Robert Sacre is utter trash. Marcelo Huertas is a scrub. Larry Nance ain't no scrub, he'll be around for a while.

Ingram and his 16" waist makes Manute Bol look like a Sumo wrestler

Is it true that he has Marfan's syndrome?

Just because he's skinny? I would have hoped NBA teams, especially the Lakers, would have done their due diligence and investigated this before he was drafted. One of his parents, and likely siblings and other family members would have it as well, making it difficult to keep a secret. But if he did have Marfan's, his NBA career will almost certainly be cut short.

oh the horror
07-07-2016, 02:55 PM
I think this young team surprises people this season. They'll still have a shitty record as they're far far too young to make any real noise but you're going to see flashes of what they can be throughout the season I'm sure.

Have you seen the 5on5 scrimmage? I'm not excited at all. Russell hasn't changed one bit, Julius is still a chicken with no head on the fast break, and Ingram wasn't really demanding the ball as much as he should have.

Larry Nance looked nice though, so did Jabari Brown (who I don't understand why we let go of in the first place).

I like how the lakers are building/drafting they got some nice young talent and I prefer the method they are using over knicks method. Knicks trade away all their assets every year trying to win now and it hasn't worked for them 16 years now.

senelcoolidge
07-07-2016, 05:04 PM
He might be Durant's replacement if Westbrook goes to the lakers. Ingram and Russell will be Thunder's.

Dave3
07-07-2016, 05:30 PM
Pretty solid young team. Between him, Randle, Clarkson, and Russell, that's a really good young core. Mozgov would be a good veteran defensive presence to compliment these guys. Lakers fans may not be the smartest around, but their front office is on point.
