We don't jump from to team to team like the LeBron fa99ot brigade(the OP).
It's Heat all day everyday. Peace Wade. Thanks for a great 13 years.

Wade is my favorite player, but I am and always wil be a Heat fan. In fact, the majority of Wade fans are Heat fans. I'm sure he'll have some fans who start rooting for the Bulls, but there's a good contingent of real Heat fans here.

Wade leaving only helps us move forward quicker.
Plus Josh Richardson is a great prospect. Really showed that is a good quality player capable of putting up 20/4/4 type numbers in his prime.

I see a LOT of Eddie Jones in J-Rich. He and Winslow have a chance to be an elite defensive perimeter tandem. Wade will obviously be missed, especially his playmaking and closing ability, but J-Rich has a great opportunity to shine.

Your hero is gone forever. I know you cry yourself to sleep at nights.
Sucks for you you'll never know what it feels like to have the best players of your franchise's history retire on your team.
Wade deserves better than Miami scum like you. Chicago fans will give him the love/respect he deserves. A true sports town.

Keep telling yourself that.
It's over for Don Riles in Miami. Karma has come back to bite him in the ass. Players pay attention. LeBron left, now Wade. Riley and the Heat are toxic/tarnished. I'd be surprised if they ever acquire a legit superstar again until Riley steps down.

I started supporting Thubder coz of Durant but now he's gone to be Curry's btch, I'm staying as a thunder fan...excited to see Westbrook contend for MVP, Adams and Kanter to improve further.

I watch Jordan at Carolina , Chicago, and Washington.

I will still be a Wade fan btw. That won't change, and I don't think there's anything wrong with continuing to be a fan of a player after they leave. I hope he has a strong season and remains healthy. I will under no circumstances root for the Bulls though. It will be bizarre rooting against Wade's team, but it's one of those things where I hope he plays well but the Bulls lose. He'll probably have a great season, especially with a true pass-first PG. Maybe around 21/5/4 on good overall efficiency.

Yeah, would've been a career EC 1st/2nd/3rd rounds exit GM if it wasn't for his scouts telling him to STFU and draft Wade.
BTW, this was my FIRST post after I heard the news:

I defend players I like. I've defended Kobe/Shaq/Wade/LeBron/etc. It's what you do on a message board. With 90% of the threads are LeBron related, it's kinda hard to avoid it.

I don't think people realize how close Riley was to drafting Chris Kaman. At that time he was still obsessed with size. He had Bosh ahead of Wade on his draft board too. Riley would have zero championships as a GM right now if he had went for size over talent. He owes a lot of his reputation as a GM to Wade basically landing in his lap.
I think Riley IS (or was) a terrific GM, but he does tend to get overrated. He's made some great and savvy moves throughout his career, but he was very fortunate to get Wade.

AJ posted how he consulted with his staff before making a decision solely that draft night, and tho he was wanting a big guy (it is a Riley trend) he understood the upside of Wade and pulled the trigger on him.
Riley could have been AWOL to the staff and chose Kaman - Riley having faith in his staff needs some acknowledgement too. Riley's done this for decades before Wade and will get a good shot to build the Heat 1 last time again before he decides to retire from bball operations.
to say Wade made Riley as you're making it is what's overrated here knowing Riley's resume before Wade, and will see what it will be after Wade.

I have a feeling Wade's relationship with LeBron irked Riley the wrong way.
Wade to Chicago is a good story. Heat are in the midst of a youth movement. Heat didnt want to pay a LeBron associate.

Probably , all .
Most of them became a heat fan with 2005/2006 years . They are bigger than 23/24 .
While L fan boys under 18/19 , they don't have adult character . Or .. Or they are new basketball fans ( about 2010 ) with bigger ages .
However , basketball is team sport . And a man , who loves that game ; must be a team supporter w/out flip/flop .

Still love Wade. HEAT fans will always love Wade. He was the heart and soul of the franchise and was part of 3 championships (single-handedly willing the HEAT to a title in 2006).
That said, the reality is that even with Wade, the HEAT (and another ~25 teams) don't have a chance to contend for a title for at least a couple years. It's wise to avoid a Kobe situation and let our young talent develop. J Rich / Winslow / Whiteside. Hopefully Bosh can come back healthy. It will be fun. I think Richardson has a chance to be a multiple time All-Star in the league.

I'm torn because I have minimal geographic ties to Florida. I planned to be to be a Miami fan after his retirement (assuming he stayed) because I like Whiteside and I could actually see myself becoming a player-fan of J-Rich.
I'm a player-fan by trade, mostly because my original home team is the 76ers. (Need I say more?) But, I don't always stan superstars. Fun fact: Wade isn't the first Heat player I've stanned. Sherman Douglas was.
But, anyway, after the way the Heat treated him at the end, I'm very conflicted.

He was the best player on that team but cmon lets not act like shaq wasn't still the most dominant center in the league. Wade has never looked better than he did during that finals but Id never fix my mouth to say single handedly.
