Do you guys believe that gun laws should be more lenient due to police shootings?
I've always said that we should not have strict gun laws and we are seeing the police state in full effect with the recent shootings. I hope Obama promotes the 2nd amendment because that could have been his son.
Do we need guns to protect ourselves or the police are doing a fine job?

The laws aren't the problem. The problem is that some kind of way the police officers are never charged.

I'm more concerned with deaths.
It wouldn't stop them from killing even if they were charged.
If the police can do what they do then that should worry every citizen in this country.

You can't stop individuals from committing crimes whether they're a teacher, doctor, lawyer, or policeman. That's why we have punishments such as jail, prison, etc.
What we need is a reliable punishment system and better balanced jury selections.
We have people doing 20 years for possessing plants(marijuana), while rapists get 3months.
