Sources: Portland RFA Allen Crabbe has signed a four-year, $75M offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets. Bonuses could reach $83M.

Sean Marks has made two daring plays: $150M in offer sheets (Crabbe and Tyler Johnson) to young guards who have yet to become NBA starters.

he was pretty good on POR vs the warriors and in the playoffs in general.. long, athletic, smart player.. good risk given how money is being tossed around.

Would not surprise me at all if he went on to score 18 a game for the Nets. He's a nice player and seems to be even better in big games.

To make it as hard as possible for the Blazers to match.

Because that was erroneous reporting before an offer was even made.

The Celtics have the right to swap the 2017 draft pick and have the Nets 2018 draft pick? If so I don't think these are the worst moves. They need to acquire young talent via free agency and are taking risks on young players and they have to overpay since they are restricted free agents.

Exactly. This signing is a risk but they need to get youth because of Billy King's (?) screwup with the trades.

Blame distribution for Nets situation:

30% Billy the Idiot
70% Mikhail "I don't know basketball but we'll win in 5 years" Prokhorov

Right in the middle of LeBron's prime he goes for broke with a bunch of losing-mentality players and the decaying skeletons of Pierce and Garnett. King's hands were tied, but the moves were still bad.

Crabbe averaged 10 ppg last season. He shows flashes here and there...but c'mon Nets..:facepalm . He will get more minutes with the Nets and put up career numbers for himself..maybe 15ppg.

This is a good point although I don't see how the Tyler Johnson signing fits in. They should make a move for Greg Monroe to clear up the PF spot.
