Ingram > Durant
He seems more skilled but can he become as athletic as KD though?
This was something Curry would do

After scoring the greatest 12pts in summer league debut history Ingram retired. At least it seems that way since you haven't heard from him since.

These guys just aren't even on the same level. I almost feel bad for Ingram that he's being held to that standard. Ingram is too skinny right now, he shot poorly from 2 and from FT last year, he doesn't pass and while he has great defensive potential if he bulks up, he was not near the defender Simmons was in college.
Simmons is a true superstar, closest we've seen to Lebron. Ingram is a nice complementary guy. A longer, more athletic, but skinnier Khris Middleton or something. Rich man's Tayshaun Prince maybe.
Ingram never could have gone #1(Sixers decided on lottery day), but other guys like Bender and Dunn could have gone 2 though depending on the team.

Simmons is almost a full year older than Ingram and Ingram supposedly had his growth spurt kinda late, so he's far behind Simmons physically.
What Ingram does have though, is a great skill set. If he ever develops his athleticism and strength, his potential is probably just as high as Simmons'.
Remember, this kid has the standing reach of an NBA center, can handle the ball, and doesn't seem to possess the ego Simmons has. Not to mention, he's got a shot. Simmons looks like he's ready to make an impact right now, but it's very likely that Ingram will be right there with him soon enough.
