Not even close. The starting 5 will probably be:

Good stuff. At least it was entertaining for a Summer League game. I hope Russell continues to grow.

You don't think you're going to be starting your number 2 overall pick?

Maybe not at the beginning. He will start at some point and take over. Not that big of a deal.

Salty little b*tch because it took your team like a decade of being a lottery team to get a bright future while it only took the Lakers 3 seasons.

Rofl. These rookies aren't lebron or MJ coming in to the league with huge hype, they are the best of this draft, but they aren't looked at as future HOF like those 2 were.
Simmons may start just becuase 76ers don't have any good players, but probably not.
No way Ingram starts.

Gotta give DeBustelo credit though, that was a legendary showdown with TJ McConnell. I mean, what an epic back and forth between those two future hall of famers.

The way they zoomed in on McConnell's face, I couldn't but help feel sorry for the guy for letting his team down in such a must-win game :oldlol:

You have to question Ben Simmons killer instinct in the fourth quarter. Despite the great stats through 3 quarters, he was not aggressive at all in the fourth quarter when the Sixers team needed him to be. He seemed to have disappeared. Hopefully watching Russell's ice in his veins rubs off on Simmons. Ben Simmons needs that killer instinct to develop into a superstar player. But a good thing about the passiveness in the fourth is he's reminding me more and more of Lebron with each passing game. Could actually be a good thing for Sixers fans.

Russell hit TWO threes both ALL NET in the last 8 seconds. One game winner erased by McConnell, the other the buzzer beater. And contrary to Tom Penn's comments that he didn't get back on defense because he was pointing at his arm, he did get back in plenty of time. There was just miscommunication between Nance and DLo. Russell thought Jr. Was going to switch on McConnell when he rotated to Nance's side. DLo had to go around Nance to pickup TJ, when he saw Nance wasnt going to get on him.
Looking back on it, DLo's celebration was a little immature for a sophomore in the SL, but he's still 20 years old and I have a feeling his father wasn't the best example for him growing up. He's a 40 year old man slurping on lean while driving a new Maserati he made his son buy him. DLo will have to grow out of all the negative influences he had growing up. I have faith he will, he's still basically the same age as Ben Simmons.

We're talking about a 20 year old second year player here. He was taught the NBA ropes by a 30 year old man who calls himself Swaggy P. I'm a big believer of the saying, you're a product of your environment. The Lakers should've got a legit NBA veteran pg to take Russell under his wing. Not Nick Young's dumbass. The good thing is there's still time for him to mature in this league. The first step is to trade or waive Nick Young. They should've done this last season.
