Probably won't even win one of their empty rings, too much choke and no depth.

I still think they'll get a couple rings together after they improve their depth with some ring-chasers taking some more pay cuts. It's possible they don't, but the pool of teams that have even a 1% chance of beating a healthy GSW is literally two teams. Odds are in their favor with their 4th best player LITERALLY being Klay Thompson.

I think GSW will handle SAS if they meet, but knowing they haven't had to deal with facing them in either of their Finals runs makes me look forward to that matchup finally going down next season. Interested to see Pop get his crack to see what he can do.

Now as far as the all time list, yeah that ship has sailed.

Should Bron Brons all time list be below top 25 since he colluded with 2 super stars in thier prime? Or When he did it a second time?

See? Don't be a hypocrite. They Still have time to get into the top 10. Curry based on 2 seasons is according to ESPN in the top 25 so with a few more years of efficient scoring and lighting it up from 3 and a few rings and maybe an MVP once the media gets over the hype of the Warriors being a Superteam. In fact I'll go on a record to say that it wouldn't surprise me if Steph puts up 26 10 5 on 50 45 90 this upcoming season on similar efficiency like last year.

Not being a hypocrite at all. Durant and Curry joining up with the current state of the league and their respective previous team situations FAR exceeds LeBron's move as "collusion" to me for many reasons, but tbh you're responding to an argument I didn't make: all I said was they can't surpass LEBRON specifically, which was the question posed in the OP. And they can't, it's as simple as that. That's over. And I think we all know that deep down.

I didn't say they didn't have time to be top 10 or whatever, at least in Curry's case (don't think Durant can ever get there). I've said for a long time I expect Curry could finish in the Top 10 by the end of his career and be known as a top 2 PG in the history of the league.

The Curry Effect IS real, and offensively he makes things easier for his teammates just by being on the court. That said his help was objectively all-time stacked as a lot of us said all of last year. Now you swap out Barnes and Bogut for Durant and Zaza for a few mil more. Curry and Durant's career paths over the next few years may begin to blend into each other in ways that make it hard to discern their individual contributions to whatever success the team has.

Magic and Kareem is a good comparison for the two, and certainly the fact that two top-5 or so players ever played on the same team hasn't made anyone look back at their careers unfavorably, but it really is the context under which KD did this that makes it so bad. Basketball-wise, I think he's top 17-20 ever, maybe better. Combining on-court play with accolades, I'd be surprised if he ever gets near top 10 for me. :confusedshrug:

No prob

Tbh and just to clarify, I really don't even think this can be held against Curry. He did his job. Helped cultivate and lead a winning atmosphere, and is part of a successful effort to lure the best FA on the market to come here despite the fact that on paper the optics are never gonna be great for Durant with this choice. Takes skill and demonstrates how guys in the league feel about GSW's system and environment.

I take nothing away from Steph Curry at all, top 10-15 positive impact in history despite only having one historic year and two superstar/MVP level years. Speaks to the lack of true controversial figures in the league (other than LeBron) that people have been trying to shoehorn Curry into the villain role lately. Durant is the villain IMO. :lol
