2000s - AI. everyone in the league wanted to be like AI and that thig image and killer crossover. people with superior skills ala kobe with better fundamentals and footwork wanted to do crossovers and ankle breakers though it wasnt really his game

2010s - Lebron. instill a culture of the easy way out and collusion. it is probably due to the millennial generation where things are given, not earned
